Historia
You’d think that unicorn shifters would be chicks, right? Yeah, me, too, but turns out unicorns are always males. Until me, that is. I’ve never shown a drop of magic in my life, even though I’m from a family of powerful witches. Well, my parents had the grand idea of performing an awakening ceremony courtesy of Fortune Academy’s best and brightest…and I think it worked a bit too well. Imagine their surprise when I sprouted a horn. A freaking horn. Not. Cool.

The most uncomfortable shifter book I have ever listened to
Revisado: 03-22-24
I understand reverse harem. I understand shifter romance. I even understand putting both in an academic setting. The problem I have is that the book is so short it offers no “academy”, attempts to offer romance by having her sleep with strangers she met not an hour ago, and sets up the reverse harem with every male character the story focuses on for longer than two sentences.
I find all of these to be red flags for a cliche story but in my opinion she expounds upon these tropes in the wrong direction. Rather than coming up with creative twists on predictable tropes, the most unique thing I heard was the fact the unicorn ushering her to the safety behind school walls got a boner because she was “riding him” which makes me worry the story will cross that oh so tentatively placed line that prevents beastiality from completely taking place in a shifter story. I feel as well that there is a weird precedent that this book sets that our main character has an obligation to sleep with as many men as she can all in the name of saving unicorn lives.
All together, it is a short derivative story that pushes too far in the wrong direction and sets up for, in my opinion, a toxic relationship between our main character and every other person of her species in existence. The narration was fine.

I was actually hesitant about this one because the characters were all pretty much unknown. But wow it came through in a big way! Loved the new additions as well as some older ones. Just superb!!

Historia
The Borderlands aren't like anywhere else. Don't try to smuggle a phone or any other piece of technology over the wall that marks the Border - unless you enjoy a fireworks display in your backpack. (Ballpoint pens are okay.) There are elves, harpies, and - best of all as far as Elliot is concerned - mermaids. Elliot? Who's Elliot? Elliot is 13 years old. He's smart and just a tiny bit obnoxious. Sometimes more than a tiny bit. When his class goes on a field trip and he can see a wall that no one else can see, he is given the chance to go to school in the Borderlands.

Revisado: 06-12-23
I bought this book several years ago but didn’t have the time to read it, thank god i downloaded the book and listened to this fantastic book and narration! I love the main trio, they have the amazing ability to annoy everyone in the world and the author does a good job making me enjoy that. The emotional upheavals were intense too, everything from love to loss to loathing

Some spots were confusing
Revisado: 05-17-22
I have to say overall that it’s a pretty interesting storyline. The narrators did well and the story flowed well but I feel like it was fit more for the screen that a book. There were parts where multiple people were talking or fighting and it made it difficult to understand who was involved at the time. Other than that though I would say it was very entertaining.

Great storyline
Revisado: 02-19-21
Loved the originality. Well written solid lead that stuck to her original plan to save her sister no matter what.
That being said these books were more like novellas at the price of a full size book. Still loved the story though.

Best book of the Shadowhunter universe
Revisado: 12-15-20
It’s always amazing to listen to Cassandra Clares books. By far, this is bound to be my favorite of her books (followed by infernal devices of course). Most impressive is how she manages to increase the amount of jokes on water foul in this world.

Historia
The wolf totally gets a bad rap in Little Red Riding Hood. There he is, eating that naughty girl up, and the huntsman barges in with his big ax. I’ll bet she loved it. I’ll bet she adored her big, bad wolf right up until she didn’t get her happy ending. This wolf doesn’t disappoint in bed. Ever. Everywhere else? Absolutely. I’ve got a long, colorful history of disappointing my pack mates and fellow bikers in the Breed MC. I’ve never met a rule I wouldn’t break, but now I’m ready to make up for it. I’ll atone for my crimes. Live happily ever after.

Frustrating
Revisado: 07-01-20
I found the presence of this character after he was killed by Marley in previous books annoying, but then to get his own book? He’s dead!!! Then after he dies he slowly (very slowly) becomes a more likable character? He’s dead! Just saying.

Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

Pretty good book
Revisado: 05-16-20
Very different from any other book I’ve listened to! Cline does a great job with 80s and 90s culture and coming up with futuristic game ideas that effect us greatly in the future. My only real problem is how often he uses the word ergonomic, it seems like everything is ergonomic and Mc needs to point it out.
