Laugh-out-loud and steamy romance

I rarely laugh out loud from reading and even less often from a romance. But this book had me almost driving off the road at points. The spice is top notch, the writing is great, and the story’s humor is fantastic. Everything you could want in a book. Only criticism is that it’s not performed in duet, but neither voice actor’s imitation of other’s voices is too cringy, so it’s ok!! Definitely going to re-listen to this one.

Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

Enemies to sort of friends to enemies again to actual friends to lovers 😂 JP and Kelsey’s relationship is very up and down, so even with the whiplash, it’s a fun read!

Love the series, prefer the first 2 books

I liked A Not So Meet Cute and So Not Meant to Be better than this entry in the Cane brothers trilogy, but still a solid romance. The one negative I’d say is that the narration from Erin Mallon sounded like it was recorded in a box - there was a slight echo. But other than that, performances were good!

I don’t know much about this author, but I have read two of her books, and so far I don’t think her work is for me. This book is unexpectedly heavy. And very disturbing at times. I felt like there should have been more trigger warnings because I got caught off guard with a lot of the plot (saying “18 ” doesn’t describe anything). Triggers include: miscarriage/abortion, marital troubles, lying, traffic accidents, infant and child death, graphic descriptions of violence/injuries, and murder. The narration was beautiful and I thought both actresses did a great job. But the story was quite frankly, awful.
