Good story reflecting more current news.

I am tired of hearing Willium Dufris in book after book pronouncing missile as mis sile with a long i. It is distracting and wrong. The dictionary pronunciation is: /ˈmisəl/. It dstracts from the ongoing saga of the McClanahan's exploits. This was good story I enjoyed, and sorry to see Patrick dies, but look forward to ongoing books following Brad, whom I expect will follow in his father's adventurous footsteps.

What character would you cut from The Bear and the Dragon?
That jerk carried over from the preceding novel, the deputy asst sec of state who tried to let Kilty get away with the VP, and now went to China to negotiate.
