I’ve been in the field overseas. I’ve been shot at, I’ve shot back. I’ve had friends blown up in far away places and I’ve suffered the tension of being in rooms where you don’t know if you’ll be able to leave alive…and I wouldn’t trade places with JJ’s experience ever. The Border is Hell on Earth, as articulated by JJ, it eats the weak and constantly attacks the strong…and now the border is everywhere, in every town, in every county. We are all border towns now, maybe if enough people can learn from JJ they might survive, even if our country doesn’t. Timely, prescient, written in a perfect Cormac McCarthy-Lee Child-Frank Gaffney hybrid style, you won’t be able to put it down…but a part of you may wish you never picked it up. Because for some, ignorance is bliss…for the rest of us, transparency is knowledge, knowledge is power, and power is delivered in that sense by JJ Carrell’s “Invaded”. But it, read or listen to it, talk about it, then plan for the worst with Carrell’s experience too if mind. You won’t be sorry, you’ll be grateful
