Historia
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Wonderful live voices!!
Revisado: 09-08-24
The narration was superb, no AI fake voices! Story-line is good, although a forewarning that the love interests were lesbians would have been nice, only so I could get in the right mindset for it.

Historia
The stronger the alpha, the greater the danger. Moon madness could claim me any time now. I’ve looked all over the continent, gone to mating games, but I still haven’t found the she-wolf meant to be mine. I’ve already become too feral in bed. I’m not safe - not for random females. Especially not the one who just moved into the ranch next door. She’s way too tempting. And I’m way too dangerous. I have to stay away. I don’t dare get near her. Because I would die before I ever let anything harm the little human. Including me.

Uncomfortable language
Revisado: 12-19-23
A little sex, a few choice adult words thrown in for spice will heat up a story-line nicely. However, when pussy, dick, dildo and highly descriptive sex words are used back to back, I just wanted out of there. This is definitely a "porn book."

Wish For Romannce And ….
Revisado: 07-06-23
How I wish for a romance like that as well as a family connection like they have. Alas, at 65 years old, I’ve resigned myself to romancing my gardens into full bloom and accepting my two loving dogs as my family. These books allow me to dream and feel things that will never be - for me.

It’ll be a long, difficult road as the new president attempts to rebuild the club from the cold ashes left behind. Bad blood and bitter memories are only some of the obstacles Trip has to overcome. The local police department, Manning Grove PD, is another, since they don’t want to see their small town once again overrun by outlaw bikers.

Not for the prim and proper!
Revisado: 09-28-21
The story-line seems authentic, although personally I’m not versed in this violently portrayed story of motorcycle gang life. The language is very vulgar, probably authentic but difficult to listen to for any length of time and definitely not without headphones if anyone else is around. Highly sexually explicit.

Avid Feehan fan disappointed.
Revisado: 10-06-20
As an avid Feehan fan and reader of every published book she has written; I was sorely disappointed in this one. This “appeared” to me to be on the level with and questionable quality of “50 Shades of Gray.” I could neither connect with the main character nor the male interest in anyway.
Compounding the disagreeable discord this writing drew from within me, is the horrendously grating and awful attempt of the narrator to depict a still unrecognizable but yet ear pinching accent for both characters. It was all I could do to make myself listen to the entire story.
I will have to say this will be my first “Feehan Fail.”

Permeating sadness overlaying enduring love.
Revisado: 09-11-20
This story left me with a sense of permeating sadness for a clean, pure love that was destroyed by life’s tragedies. The souls meeting and joining together at the end lend a sweetness to the storyline but that original sadness for love not only lost, but forgotten, remains.

Disappointing All Around
Revisado: 06-20-20
Being an avid original Star Trek lover for over 54 years; I’m highly sensitive to the correct
re-enactment of the original Enterprise Crew’s characters and characteristics. The major discrepancy and what kept pulling me out of the disjointed story-line was the depiction of Captain Kirk’s character in each situation. Following his unbelievable change in character, speech, reactionary scenes and interactions with “beloved” crew members, was Lieutenant Uhura. Her character was written so out of character as to be unprofessional and subordinate in her station.
The story-line itself was disjointed, did not flow nor did it reflect the team-work and camaraderie of the crew. Yes, they had a few rough spots but the scenes as written here, would have had all of them thrown out of Star Fleet.
Unfortunately, the narrators voice and attempted mimicry of Kirk in particular, was like the proverbial saying “like fingernails scraping down a chalkboard.” I had to stop and start the story over eight times to get through it.
This is the first poor review I’ve ever given here on audible. If you listen to it and love it, please do post about it here!
