It"s a place where he can keep a lock on his prisoner while figuring out how to get past Hudson"s gang alive. But the folks in Silver Cloud are none too happy playing host to the lawman or his kill-crazy prisoner.

Masterful performance of a very enjoyable book

The story started a little slow for me, but once it got going it was thoroughly enjoyable. Meghan Kelly"s performance was wonderful. Her pacing, character voices, emotion and investment in the story was wonderful. Highly recommend! Looking forward to the next book. I did receive a free code for honest review and happy to share my thoughts.

I received this audiobook from the author or narrator free, and I offer this review willingly.
This is a very good first book in a new series by Steven Bird. Full of action, betrayal, and shocking things that need to be made right. This book is a solid look at a very frightening scenario that could be played out. Hopefully the Joes of the world will be able to stand up and do the right thing. Kevin Pierce does a terrific job with the narration. Well worth a credit to give a listen!

Well researched and presented stories of crimes committed in and around San Francisco. It was very interesting and I learned about many crimes that I"d not known about before. The narrator did an excellent job and has an easy-to-listen-to voice. When it came to "quotes" he acted out the different speakers in a way that made it very easy to distinguish between men and women as well as the young and old. Nicely done.
