I only made it to chapter4 so Maybe something changes, but I don't like a dozen stories going on at the same time. Way too many names to remember by the end of chapter3. I don't have that kind of focus. Takes too long to get interested in a character just to change them all chapter after chapter. big thumbs down from me.

Slow start, good finish.

First you'll need some patience. starts kinda slow and going through All stats is tiresome. use your fast forward when it gets too much stat.
All that said, at least in this story. Patience is a virtue thing pays off in the end. it's not bad at the beginning, just needed to set the stage\back story. By the end I was pissed to find out second book wasn't out yet. 😍 Don't miss out if this is your genre.

Maybe I am spoiled. But I like a performance, not readings.
The narrator doesn't use voices (at least as far as I got). So you need to pay extra close attention to the story or you will become confused.
Maybe the story gets better, but starts slow. Didn't make it that far.

if you want a tale on " how everything that can go wrong will go wrong " , message me to write an autobiography.
Otherwise not a good book.
Writer got lazy from the first book and just fell back on hardships to cry over.
While no cussing or sexual issues, NOT a youth book.
Narrator was good. No issues with her.
If you're looking for a pity book, this is for you.

Described every little thing in DETAIL Boring. Way too much history & different names. Main characters talk a good game, but are unbelievably weak. Narrator wasn't bad. Story & main characters are crap.

Good series of magical mischief

First from what I read from others. Most have a problem with the the narrator. Slow her down to 85 or 90. Very slow burn romance. All clean for those worried about such.
The story is about a Texas girl in the big city. But with Some common sense. Meeting all sorts of mystical beings. Funny & entertaining. I listened to all 9 books.

Books1,2&3 are pretty good. About a girl growing into power. A slow burn romance for a bit. some good friends & such.
Book 4 is awful. Nothing but despair & loss. Coupled with bad mistakes and threats from others. Main characters just bumble around with no plan or thoughts on wtf is going on. Terrible book. Didn't even listen to book 5. Didn't like the direction of the story. First 3 good. Stop there & pretend that is the end of the series..

Suspenseful, humor. Good listen also from narrator

The authors keep up the suspense most of the story. The humor is a little dark. Just the way I like it. Not much romance if that's what you're looking for.
Worth it. Time to move on to the next story.😍😀

struggled to finish. it would help if I was Russian. story just not that interesting. Back in the Old country is the setting.
