The familiars are fabulous, the story a treat, and the characters perfect in this, the second installment of a brilliantly imaginative series! The familiars, oh the familiars in this story, this series, have captured my heart! I’m not going to reveal ANY of them, just know they are VERY different from the norm you’ve come upon before! I also love the continuing evolution of the characters, especially the unexpected direction a character can take as their role is expanded! One in this story is delightfully surprising and refreshingly brilliant! No names here, you’ll know WHO when you get there! Now on to the story! What an emotional winner! This beautifully immersive, emotional, story flows smoothly, easily consuming my full attention from beginning to end! I felt for, AND with, these wonderful, deeply defined characters! I even felt for the ne’er do wells … though those feelings might not have been the ones I should write home to mother about! The point is, every single character made me FEEL, they all resonated as REAL, and they all have a purpose in the story! I felt WITH this story! I loved every single second I listened as the PERFECT narration beautifully added to the feeling of realism! I loved the way the story and the characters came beautifully, brilliantly, ALIVE, exactly as the author intended! I could SEE the story! I could FEEL the story! Every voice suited perfectly to the characters personality, every emotion conveyed and nuanced perfectly! I loved, FIVE fantastic stars LOVED every aspect, every component, of this fabulous story!

Tense, Riveting, Stunning and Heartbreakingly Brilliant!

TV News Reporter David Docherty had one goal … to anchor the six o’clock news on KRBT. He finally got his chance as a “fill in”, and as fate would have it … that was the night a horrific story broke live … a story that would change the lives of so many … a story that would result in “Dead Air” … Tense, riveting, and absolutely stunning, I was completely invested in this story, in these characters, from the opening words, through every unexpected turn, to the final conclusion! The writing is “edge of seat” perfection, the characters a brilliant mix of “I love ‘em” and “I loathe ‘em”, with a few that managed to sway this listener to the other side by story’s end! I’m not giving plot details to avoid playing spoiler, but this story, THIS timely, albeit disturbing, thought provoking story is absolutely worth a listen! Brilliantly and beautifully narrated, the mood was perfectly set, the characters captured exactly as the author intended, lending an air of absolute believability to this hauntingly realistic, story! I was overcome with feeling … so many feelings .. as I listened! The dialogue spoken with perfect emotional intonation, never overstated, at all times dynamically perfect! I found myself struggling for composure as I listened, juggling feelings of rage with overwhelming compassion, and then replaying sections sobbing! This is a powerful story, one that gave me the shivers, one that will not be soon forgotten, and one that deserves five solid stars across all categories!

Don’t Pass This One By! It’s Deep & Great!

When state workers laying cable unearth a disturbing find, it falls to Lt. Detective Robert Mason and the Atlanta Police Department to find out who’s responsible … before more young women in become … “Lost Bones”! Fast paced, beautifully detailed and positively packed with forensic “sciency” goodness, “Lost Bones” kept me engaged from the opening words through the jaw dropping reveal! The characters are all beautifully believable and throughly human! There is even a nice touch of romance … I’m not saying who … or how many characters get bit by the love bug … but it’s a beautiful touch that balances a story that could otherwise be brutal … given that the “serial” aspect isn’t … Captain Crunch! The narration was a perfect fit for the story, adding that special touch of “realism” that really sets the mood! I loved the sense of “noir” I got while listening! The performance was wonderful! Every word, every action, comes across crystal clear, bringing the authors vision to perfect life! On the whole, for me, “Lost Bones” is a winner! My attention was held, I was left with no unanswered questions, AND I had a supreme feeling of satisfaction at HOW everything resolved! Don’t pass this one by! I’m giving “Lost Bones” FIVE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fantastic stars! I listened twice because I liked it THAT much!

Catattude Aplenty and So Much More! The Cats Meow!

Ellie, Evie, and ohhh my that handful of energy Floofy really get put through their paces when a cryptic cat becomes the latest resident of the Silver Circle Cat Rescue in “Boots, Blitzen, and Burglary”, A Cozy Magic Midlife Mystery! One thing is for certain, the beautifully drawn and defined characters, (especially Blitzen and Floofy) absolutely steal the show in this fabulously written, character driven, story! I just love Floofy’s “heart”, I love how he engages with the other characters, and I love the depth of feeling those interactions bring to this story. Blitzen’s character is cryptic, snarky genius! He is the perfect foil to Floofy, providing not only delightful mystery and intrigue, but a wonderful twist that is not only stunning, but beautifully satisfying! In the interest of preserving the “mystery” for future listeners, the details won’t be shared here, but know everything about this story really is perfect. I love it when a story goes deeper than “just entertainment”, and once again our author does not disappoint! The story is beautifully written, emotional, and deals with real issues faced by real people in a sensitive, non-sensationalized manner. Along the way I had many, many moments of laughter, a few of righteous anger, quite a few “awwws” and some tears, at all times feeling “as one” with the characters, and throughly “in the moment” with the story! A big contributing factor is the narration. This, THIS, is a master class in narration! The voicing choices for these characters are spectacularly spot on! 100% fitting the character’s personality and 100% authentically consistent THROUGHOUT with perfectly clear emotional intonation! When I went to check my pre-review notes, there were none, zip, nada! Everything had been so clearly presented that I hadn’t needed to take any! I knew who was speaking, what the mood was, everything the author wanted to convey, was conveyed PERFECTLY, leaving no doubt that presentation is undoubtedly the author’s vision coming to perfect, vibrant, beautiful life! I adored every single second! Honestly, this just might be my series favorite, and when you listen you’ll see why! Five fantastic stars!

Beautifully Plotted, Ohh Those Twists and “Surprises” Sooo Good!

Wendy thought she loved Sheldon Drake … or maybe she just loved what came with being the wife of a powerful man … the lifestyle, the prestige, the money... Of course, eventually Sheldon showed his true colors and when she’d had enough … Wendy planned … then she ran! Now Wendy’s in hiding, not knowing who to trust “Among the Lies” … leaving her only … one … deadly … choice! Beautifully plotted, and packing more twists than a sidewinder in the desert sun, this story will keep you guessing from beginning to end! When I say “beautifully plotted” I am not kidding or exaggerating! There is SO MUCH to this story! Let’s start with the multifaceted plot. In addition to the bit I referenced earlier, there are several “subplots” deftly interwoven together creating a supremely interesting and cohesive environment for all the characters to exist! Their world resonates as completely authentic! I’m not giving details so as not to engage in spoilers, but I will tell you that the characters living these stories are so exceptionally well developed that as I got to know them, I felt as if I was sharing in their lives! I was moved to tears by some, feared for a few, and in some cases wanted to play whack a mole … with them popping up in the holes on the game board! What really impressed me was the ongoing character development as the story progressed. There were quite a few characters that caused me to have a change of heart … some positive and some not so much, but the details won’t be shared here. I don’t want to spoil any of the many twisty surprises this story holds! As you listen, all will be revealed! This story is twist filled and engrossing! I got totally lost in this one. I was completely consumed! I was also completely stunned by a few of the “surprises” our author had planted in this one, things I won’t be revealing here, but “punch packing” doesn’t begin to cover! I though maybe I wasn’t paying proper attention … ya know I’m not getting any younger … AND the story is fantastic … sooo when I finished, I listened again … from beginning to end, and nope, I didn’t miss a thing! I didn’t see “any of those surprises” coming because our author is just THAT good! And listening twice was a delight because the narration is top notch professional perfection! Everything about “Among the Lies” is absolute perfection, FIVE star perfection! I LOVED it!

Sweet Perfection, With the Perfect Build to Heated Wow!

Olivia is a mite bit prickly … actually, more than a bit, but does that deter Robbie from pursuing her? Noooo, not in the slightest! From their first meet, he KNOWS she’s the one for him, BUT getting HER to view him with something other than distain will take time, perseverance, and hot dayum, possibly a decree from a higher order! Once Robbie persuades Olivia to at least give friendship a try … can he completely win her over, or will the nefarious in their midst end their season prematurely by drawing “The Love Penalty”! I really enjoyed this one! This, THIS is the very definition of easy, breezy listening! If you’re not familiar with hockey, fear not, our author has that covered! The sporting detail provided is perfect, allowing the listener to become completely enmeshed in both the story, and the lives of these beautifully drawn characters! I really loved how the characters develop organically as the story plays out, allowing me to come to know them, and care for them as I would had I just met them in life! They all resonated as REAL. From the situations they found themselves in, to the words they spoke, this story felt REAL, and thanks to spectacular narration, this story sounded REAL! The voicing choices were fabulous, perfectly fitting the personality of each and every character! From fear to passion, laughter to anger, and everything in between, there was a ton of emotion in this one, and ALL of it was beautifully and consistently conveyed through STUNNINGLY accurate vocal intonations! I knew who was speaking, what they were feeling, their anxiety level, their mindset, everything! I could see it, I could FEEL it, from the first word to the last I loved it! “The Love Penalty” gets five fantastic stars across all categories!

Hawt, with a Fabulous Thriller of a Plot! I LOVED it!

Evangeline Weathers THOUGHT posting pics from her friend’s bachelorette was a GREAT idea! After all EVERYONE was curious about the resort … and she WAS a media influencer … So what if she’d signed that pesky non-disclosure … That was just a formality right? Well, not to Gage Royal, owner of the resort! For him, Evangeline’s antics quickly became a “Royal Pain”, leaving him no choice but to address the infraction with Evangeline … personally … as only a Dominant can! As they draws closer, it becomes clear … there’s a much more nefarious plot afoot … and it will take a village to save what has become their world! I loved this story! The writing is beautifully done! Every emotion is present, and in perfect proportion, with just the right amount of heat, AND just the right amount of tension. The flow is exquisite! There is never a time where ANYTHING lingers too long! I am serious! You FEEL it, oh holy WOW, you feel it ALL, but just when you get to where you feel like you’re going to break … blessed resolution! They say timing is everything and our author has elevated timing to an art form! The characters ALL fully resonate as REAL! They are faultlessly designed, and deeply developed. I love that their dialogue is always so fitting, so true to the person they are, never coming off as inauthentic! I also LOVED the narration! Sultry, smooth, perfectly timed, PERFECTION! Emotionally delivering all the feels, perfectly setting every scene, exactly as the author intended! The entire production delighted me in every way! Five fabulous stars! I was enthralled!

Heat, Emotion, and ALL the Feels!

I was completely “in” the moment with the story and with these beautifully defined characters at all times! The duet narration was truly SPECTACULAR! I felt like I was listening to actual conversations and eavesdropping on real people uh … getting busy and doing what real people do! From start to finish, it was flawless, fantastic perfection! I LOVED everything about the HAWT, brilliantly conceived and beautifully performed “Ivory Obsession”! Five stupendous stars!

Engrossing with a twist! I loved it!

This “who done it” had me completely invested and in the moment from beginning to end, easily earning FIVE fantastic stars across all categories! I loved it!

Astounding, Timely, Perfection!

Love is never wrong … the heart wants what the heart wants, and when your heart’s desire is the polar opposite of those who controls your destiny … like Faith’s autocratic father … it’s time to seek out the only one who might understand, the only one you know of whose “been there” … it’s time to set about “Finding Molly Parsons”! Poignant, powerful, and completely authentic in its portrayals, THIS beautifully narrated, timely story NEEDS to be heard, shared and savored! The writing is smooth, engaging, emotional perfection with just the right touches of perfectly placed humor when moment lightening is needed. The characters are brilliantly crafted, well varied, and strikingly REAL! Their continual development as the story plays out is astounding! I can’t reveal the details or “who’s who” without spoiling the story for those yet to listen, but know “their” growth and change is not only poignant and powerful, but in some cases so empowering that this listener had emotional tears flowing, wanting to scream out a very loud, emphatic, “YES”! This is writing that can open dialogues, change minds, change attitudes and really make a difference in our world! The narration was spectacular! All voicing selections were spot on, each perfectly fitting their character and remaining consistently clear throughout. The vocal nuances conveying emotion were subtle and stunning, never overdone! All aspects of this story were performed exquisitely with spectacular timing and flow, completely immersing me in the world of these beautifully brilliant characters! I am certain this story was brought to life exactly as envisioned by the author! I really enjoyed the experience of listening to this story! Five stunning, you have to experience THIS one, stars across all categories!
