I really enjoyed this. All the way through there was little doubt in my mind that the story was written by the man himself. It reads like I believe he talks or at least as I’ve heard him interviewed. That’s what I liked about it, it was genuine!

My first exposure to Steve Lopez

I can’t say, I ever heard of this guy and I am one of those at the age that I’m thinking about what he’s writing about. I also have a 17-year-old going into a senior year in HS so I was able to relate to his feelings about his daughter going to college. Really gave me some good things to think about. I really enjoyed this book and will probably give it another listen. The guy has lead quite a life.

This is the first time I’ve listened/read the story in many, many years. Spoiled by the movies like most of us I’ve gotten away from the written word. Such a great book that influenced me in my early years.

What a great story!

I’m not much on reviews at least doing them myself however after finishing this 13th book in the Last Kingdom series I just wanted to acknowledge how wonderful the stories were. I feel more educated regarding England’s history and look forward to my next trip to the island to explore some of the places in the stories including looking at my friend Dave Green’s Chester England in a different way. While I have a feeling of sadness knowing that the story is over I look forward to reading them again someday. Outstanding job Mr. Cornwell and I wish Matt Bates had been the one and only narrat
or of these stories, he is truly the voice of Uhtred!

Fascinating

I’ll keep it short and sweet here. The content of the book was fascinating. Understanding my my body and diet was never made more clear or understandable. Not to mention it just all makes sense.
The narrator in this case simply makes this book and the content that much better! Mr. Nishii’s orientation of this book is one of the Best I’ve ever heard!

Thoroughly enjoyed!

I listened to this complete series with my 14-year-old grandson each day to and from school. While the stories may not be very detailed or contain complex plots, the story itself was good with good characters and we both enjoyed. I believe I said it in an earlier review but even my grandson commented that these would make for an interesting TV series and or series of movies.

Good, simple fun!

I’ve been listening to these with my 13-year-old grandson and while not overly thorough or detailed in their story they make for good fun that could easily be turned into a TV or a movie franchise.

Keeble rocks!

I very much enjoyed this series of books. They were very informative and for someone who was not very knowledgeable regarding Napoleon and Wellington they did a great job of educating me. Most of all I appreciate the narrator. Keeble never fails to bring his characters to life. Very well done!
