Not sure what the fuss is about.
Very long but as good as it gets from Val. Not bad overall. Narration was fine too. I think Val was in a spiteful mood, all male characters are whimps and or murderers all the females are quirky, clever, smart ( with the exception of the stuck-up City of London cop) or victims. Far too long, about 7 hours too long I guess.

Real struggle
The narrator was awful putting her stresses on the wrong words in most sentences

I don't think anyone could narrate a story better!
I think both story and narrator are made for each other. I loved the entire story, I'm kind of sorry its finished. more like this please!!

too gruesome for me
The narrator was excellent. I prefer a story read with different voices like this. Her scottish accent was good but she mispronounced a few words which grated.

Brilliantly done
