Story
Naomi Shaw used to believe in magic. Twenty-two years ago, she and her two best friends, Cassidy and Olivia, spent the summer roaming the woods, imagining a world of ceremony and wonder. They called it the Goddess Game. The summer ended suddenly when Naomi was attacked. Miraculously, she survived her seventeen stab wounds and lived to identify the man who had hurt her. The girls’ testimony put away a serial killer, wanted for murdering six women. They were heroes.

Full of twists and turns! Overall great read

If like me, you sometimes get disheartened when you think you've 'solved the case' too early... you won't have to worry. There are a few obvious 'oh I knew that' moments, but overall it was a great gripping read. You won't guess the ending.

Story
The Oaks is an idyllic, up-market country club—but its ornately carved walls hide a horrific past. Sixty years ago the house was an asylum, home to crazed psychopaths. One night all of them disappeared, never to be seen again. Jack Reed, the owner of The Oaks, has no idea about the building's terrible history. It is only when Jack's son is dragged into the walls of the mansion that he realises what happened sixty years ago—and just where the inmates have been living all this time...

Hard to follow storyline
Reviewed: 26-12-24
I wanted to love this one, the premise hooked me straight away. But as you read the story there are so many nonsensical plot points. It has too many 'but no one would do that' or 'why would you do that, it doesn't make sense' points which really make you cringe or roll your eyes. Really disappointing read. At a point of trying for weeks to get into this one, I just left it.

Story
At seventeen, Lenora Hope hung her sister with a rope. Now reduced to a schoolyard chant, the Hope family murders shocked the Maine coast one bloody night in 1929. While most people assume seventeen-year-old Lenora was responsible, the police were never able to prove it. Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope's End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred.

You'll never guess the twists and turns

This one had me gripped from beginning to end, really great read overall. The only reason why it's not a full on 5/5 is because the plot twists were so 'twisty' at one point I found myself a little lost. Great book and I'll definitely be tuning in to the author's other titles.

Great story (but did skip a bit)
Reviewed: 04-09-21
I'm not usually one to do so, but I did find myself skipping some of the middle section of the story. It was a lot of the same elements repeated which got a bit tedious to read. However, the beginning and conclusion to the story was great. Definitely worth a read!

Obvious plot and ending
Reviewed: 21-11-20
I was excited for this one, however the storyline and ending were essentially spoon fed to you early on. Not to say there weren't minor details that were a suprise towards the end, but they were overshadowed by the glaring spoilers so early on. I continued to read it in the hope I was incorrect and that it wouldnt be as obvious as the story had made it.
