A very entertaining audiobook, there is the usual battle, progress and loot but now Zac is dealing with stronger enemies and major forces and factions. This book is mostly focused on Zac but there are some characters from previous books.
I like the fact Zac is out matched and can't over power every problem.
The pace is excellent, lots happens and I was not bored. Things happen that keeps the introspection or angst to a minimum to keep things moving forward. Which I appreciate.
I liked the humour there are some very funny moments. Ogras is a favourite. I also enjoyed the plots and intrigue.
The narrator did a fantastic job as always and deserves thanks for all the hard work.
I look forward to the next book and am glad the audiobook came out the same time as the book.
This series would benefit from an ability list as names and what they do changes often. A sum up of previous book or books would be handy given how large this series is.

A good story and the narration is outstanding.
There are some some fun aspects to the story, some dark and well done battle. A typical Goblin Slayer story. This story shows how clever Goblin Slayer can be.
I look forward to the next story.

I was not sure what to expect with this title it starts off as a tech thriller then becomes a litrpg and ends up very fun and entertaining.
The world building is outstanding and a well done solo adventure litrpg is very rare and something I appreciate.
The main character is capable and has some advantages but I always hoped he would prevail. I liked that the issues of angst a minimal and that its more important the main character has a good time. There are some nice twists too.
The stat screens are complicated at the start but it adds depth. They don't come up too often so the story has a good pace.
The game AI has a dungeon crawler carl vibe and can be very funny.
Cheese is vital for character growth this was something I have not read before.
The narration was great.
I really look forward to the next book.

I am a big fan of Guenther Steiner so enjoying a book narrated by him would not be difficult for me.
The book itself completes his time with Haas which I found interesting and I liked the insight Steiner offered. I am glad we got a conclusion to his F1 adventure.
I would have liked more stories as the narrator must know many but still worth getting if you like Guenther Steiner.
The narration was excellent and the story greatly benefits from having the man himself do it.
The pace of the story was good,

I really enjoyed this audiobook I love the world building in this series, the lore and history. There is exploration, adventure, twists and battle.
I liked that the main character was in better control of his emotions even if there will be issues in the future. If gave the story more focus and made Felix more like a leader. No angst was a bonus as that can really slow down a story. I liked the drive and sense of purpose. Things are building nicely to a conclusion.
The narrator did a fantastic job as usual.
I think the series needs a section at the back that describes the abilities of the main character especially as they change often. It would be useful to know what abilities he has and what they do.
A sum up of the previous book at the start would be handy to refresh the memory.
I really liked that Pitt had his own adventure he is such a fun character.
If you enjoyed the earlier books you will like this one in my opinion. I look forward to the next book.

Story
Absalom Scryne isn't himself. On the one hand, he's a well-rounded gentleman of a sentient hat with two beloved apprentices and a tagalong swordsman. On the other, he's a rather furious wizard sitting on the opposite side of a desk, demanding they give back his hat. Needless to say, it's not an ideal situation. And it's about to get worse. Because the battle between civilization and all the monsters of the Badlands and the underworld is about to begin.

This was such a fun listen and this series has been such a wonderful surprise. As I was not sure what to expect with this. I loved the fantasy setting and the balance of adventure, combat, humour and how crafty wizards can be.
This book is fun, there is humour and is full of surprises. The battles were well done too. I was sad when the audiobook was finished.
If you enjoyed the previous books you should enjoy this one.
The narration is excellent John Lee does great work and really added to how much I have enjoyed this book and series. I think the narrator had fun reading this and that enhanced his performance in my opinion.

What this series does really well is the solo adventure aspect and this book has that there is the usual intrigue, twists, action and adventure. I really enjoyed most of the book.
I am not sure about the whole council and one house one people part. That seems the weaker part of the story in my opinion.
As always I enjoyed learning about the game how it works the world building is excellent.
A sum up of what has happened and character status is very handy thank you for refreshing the memory.
The narrator did a great job as usual.
I look forward to the next book I hope for more quests completed as there is lots going on. If you like this series you should enjoy this book.

I enjoyed this book very much as I liked the use of darker aspects of magic, the world created is interesting and there is some great twists and some very funny moments and lines which I appreciate.
The book gets a bit dark at the end but this series is known for it.
The male main character seems more sure of himself in this book than in book 2 in my opinion. I liked the more ruthless aspects of the main characters who have a clear purpose and drive in this book.
There are lots of ideas that have been used in other series but like book 1 its been really well done.
There are minimal stat pages and the story has a good pace. I was invested in the story and characters. The battles and problems to solve seem a bit easy but things are entertaining and there is lots going on.
The narrator did an excellent job.
