Story
It was the standard blackmail scheme. For years, sultry Lysa Dean's name on a movie had meant a bonanza at the box office. Now a set of pictures could mean the end of her career. When first approached for help by lovely Dana Holtzer, Lysa's personal secretary, Travis McGee is thoroughly turned off by the tacky details. But being low on cash, and tenderly attracted by the star's intriguingly remote secretary, McGee sets out to locate his suspects -- only to find that they start turning up dead!

I realize it is from the sixties but it hasn't aged well. Good narrator though.

After 30 minutes I gave up. I was hoping the writer would discover the word "him" as an alternative to "Dak", but no such luck. Listen to the first fight scene and you'll know what I mean. Another credit down the drain....

Story
A house demolition provides an unpleasant surprise for the Minneapolis Police - the bodies of two girls, wrapped in plastic. It looks like they've been there a long time, and Lucas Davenport knows exactly how long. With the bodies discovered, an old case is resurrected - but there's something wrong with the evidence. As Davenport investigates, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: It wasn't just the bodies that were buried. It was the truth.

Really enjoyed it, maybe not Sandford's absolute best story, but very, very good. And no one does Sandford better than Richard Ferrone.
