As is usual from author Caihm McDonnell. We are on one of his Bunny’s fantastic trips. With beautifully written twists and turns. McDonnell’s humour finds the page, seemingly with ease, invoking my laughter. Relating to Bunny’s good hearted actions, and principles. Caihm McDonnell doesn’t stop working creatively well. Every book a winner. Imo’s.

Such imagination and characters😊

The ‘performer’ is enthusiastic. Some English accents askew. I’m English, the performer American. Got a bit disquieted by the word *shone. Pronounced as *shown. Often wondered whether performing for adults or young children. The entire collection of the Wandering Inn books have kept me entertained, and in awe of the Author’s imaginative, descriptive, writing. In particular Pirateaba’s character writing. The convergence of reality meets fantasy. All sorts going on. The author seems inspired by the influential and those they influence. I don’t regret purchasing or listening to each book. I wonder what, if anything, is next on the author’s mind. After Wandering in to it. I hope a new set of characters and storylines, as well written. Big ask.

Asimov was on time, on point, a man, racing ahead of women. Should he have? You decide.
A very well written account of all things are possible but not always predictable, and or probable.

Simon is the best delivery boy that Mr Edwards’s restaurant has ever had. He’s on time every time, and he’s gotten nothing but good reviews. But he needs more money. His mother’s medical treatment won’t pay for itself, and his father is already working three jobs to try to make ends meet. But it might just be his lucky day: Mr. Edwards has another job for him. It’s more delivery work, but not the usual kind. You might even say that it’s out of this world. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers, and the pay is fantastic.

A novel of high adventure, great storytelling and moral purpose, based on an extraordinary true story of eight years in the Bombay underworld. In the early 80s, Gregory David Roberts, an armed robber and heroin addict, escaped from an Australian prison to India, where he lived in a Bombay slum. There, he established a free health clinic and also joined the mafia, working as a money launderer, forger and street soldier. He found time to learn Hindi and Marathi, fall in love, and spend time being worked over in an Indian jail.

I was pulled in to this intense book by both narrator and author. Based on a true story. The honesty about every circumstance and situation the author finds himself in or, deliberately strides into & the characters descriptions, they are all believable, clear pictures for the imagination … it is outstanding. So well and respectfully written, but at times almost unbearable. It grabs, disturbs, informs and amuses . . . Read incredibly well with accents bringing characters alive to the imagination too. A 5 stars all the way through yes listen, from me.

Ned Russo thought he had it all. Lovely home in Pasadena, a beautiful ex-wife who didn’t hate him, a charming daughter at UCLA who adored him, and a cushy job with a fat salary he earned as the administrator of one of the premier nursing homes in Los Angeles. He even had a giant office that overlooked the Pacific Ocean. But, as a wise man once said, “Things change.”

The narrator takes a bit of getting used to. But who else?
I found it was well worth the listen.
I can’t ‘laugh’ or find comedic any of the grim circumstances & situations I heard while listening to this. It was nice to hear the main character develop.
This story tells well, the actual human reactions, among adults, to the situations that many elderly find themselves in and how they are thought of and treated.
Things that happen in a Continent driven by one thing, money & all it can buy. So well in fact that I’d like to know what happens next…..everyone struggles emotionally, physically or both, before, during or after they become ‘old’, that is made quite clear in a lighthearted manner. Attitudes towards the old and how they’re ‘cared’ for obviously differ. If you, like me, enjoy kindness, you’ll probably enjoy this story. It has a middle class, money, not personal qualities, makes a person better than one without money, attitude and theme throughout. But the main character evolves well and the others are told well. Listen for yourself.
