Very good deep dive in to BTL mortgages

The content of the book is current and relevant (reading in Jan 2021) and after reading the book I feel confident navigating BTL mortgages.

However, the book fails to address the second half of the title. There is no guidance or direction on how to build an empire with BTL mortgages. For example, it does not outline very clearly which mortgage is the most efficient way to build an empire (fast). After reading this book my inclination is to buy a property with a 5 year mortgage, but that will massively restrict my options of releasing equity by refinancing.

The narration is great but everything else is a bit off for me. I purchased this on a recommendation that it would help me value my time and creative work more. It was just full of quotes every other sentence. Perhaps not to my liking because I notice many positive reviews from others

It's just "inspirational" quotes, what successful people have done and lots of teasing of what this book will do for me. But two hours in and I have learnt nothing. I won't bother finishing the book, it'll be a waste of ten hours

Great insight in to no-money-down portfolio growth

This book offered a great insight in to how to build your property portfolio quickly, and with very little money upfront.

It explained in great detail how to purchase below market value, add real value, remortgage and move on to the next one.

However, a lot of the tips do not/will not apply to 2020/2021.

Also, the last 45mins of the book is just the author selling his products. I gave up at 30mins remaining because he stopped adding any value and was just selling his mentoring courses, meetup events, website and mobile app etc

I never considered investing in indexes before. After reading this book I can see a clear path to wealth by leveraging the stock market. Though the book is US-centric, at least 75% is applicable to U.K. citizens too

Quite thorough and the author certainly knows what he’s talking about but it wasn’t an engaging listen at all. Gave up with 5hrs to go

Ppl I really liked the ease at which parallels were drawn between algorithms and human life. However around chapter 13-ish I started to lose interest

Seems like Ryan is a so-called growth hacker with no product. I couldn’t believe my ears when he said ‘conclusion’! The book spent all the chapters parading what you would learn and then never even taught me anything.
