Very predictable story, but it was short and free, so OK as background. There's a really annoying clicking in the narration which once heard can't be unheard.

Story
A young woman's body is discovered on a deserted footpath. It seems like a simple crime for DCI Sophie Allen and her team to solve. But not when the victim's mother is found strangled the next morning. The case grows more complex as DCI Sophie Allen discovers that the victims had secret histories, involving violence and intimidation. There's an obvious suspect, but Detective Allen isn't convinced. Could someone else be lurking in the shadows, someone savagely violent, looking for warped revenge?

Extremely unrealistic.

This was free so I tried to listen but eventually gave up. It's a police procedural which appears to be written without any knowledge of working in the criminal justice system. The characters are simplistic and lack personality. There's some comedy value in the narrator's notion of what constitutes a 'borders' accent, but that's about it.

The story is possibly good but the narrator puts the emphasis on strange parts of some sentences and has an odd style which makes it difficult to follow.

A lot of moaning and sound effects, footsteps and general banging about. Where there was dialogue who was speaking and was it in the future, the present or in a dream? I gave up before the end. I gave the performances 3 stars because I kept thinking of the poor actors trying to make some kind of sense for the listners.
