I Wish I Could Give Ten Stars

D I Heather Filson is such a fantastic character, as are all the characters.
D C Swanee, to be teamed up with Filson, shouldn't work but it does.
She's like an over excited puppy, who just wants to please, but behind that she is a very credible D C.
Ace is an absolute dream character, very, very funny. The part where her teacher, asks her to stay behind was hilarious. I've got a feeling she may be a little autistic, she is so outspoken, very intelligent, and hasn't got a clue what a fantastic person she is.
I liked the way, you get pulled back into the dark world of gangsters, and corrupt police officers, and all the treachery and violence it entails.
D I Filson is a tough, stand no nonsense, character who can hold her own, whether it be her boss or blood chilling gangster.
Her soft spot is her father, who has dementia. She does all she can to look after him, and hold down a full time job.
The end of the book was left open to carry on the series, and I seriously hope you do Mr Kirk.
Reading both books, I have become very fond of all the people portrayed in both books.
Last but not least, the narrator brought all characters to life.
I loved the way she spoke the fathers words, I could actually see him saying them. She was absolutely spot on.
I have actually given up on a book, because of the way the narrator has read it.
The way these two books were read by her, made them riveting.

Thought Provoking

At last a true haunting you can actually believe in.
No spinning heads, no over the top hysterics, just an honest to goodness true account, of what happened in Mr Grave's property.
I've bought books before, that are supposedly "True" accounts, which are totally unbelievable, I think it's because they feel they have to make more of the encounters with spirits, than there actually was just to sell the book.
I was scared because the encounters were very believable down to earth, and very thought provoking.
I really do hope you write another book, Mr Graves, I for one will definitely buy it.
I applaud the fact the proceeds of book sales, are being given to a charity, you have a connection with, via your lovely Mother.
Please write another book. I look forward to hearing you as narrator, and the sound effects which accompany you.

I usually find books you follow in series form, a bit of a let down.
You get bored after the second or third book, which is a little annoying when you've paid for the whole series.
With this series I couldn't wait to start on the next book, it was so riveting I found myself thinking, thank God I haven't got to wait until the next book is published, they were all there just waiting to be read.
The narrator was absolutely brilliant, she brought each character to life.
You could tell the author had done her research into Liam's Character, regarding the military terms she used, "In the zone" "Put the pain in a box" the affects of an adrenaline come down.
The way she made you realise how swiftly mankind could be brought to it's knees within a week of an EMP, and people's different reactions good and bad.
I really hadn't thought of the knock on affect of losing power completely.
Pace makers not working, people needing life saving treatment, no medication, I have asthma and need an inhaler, that thought is really scary.
As the series went on, if the worst happened and all power was lost, I would definitely want Liam, and all those who supported him on my side.
I am now off to find another series, written by Kyla Stone.
You Ms Stone are an exceptionally high standard of author, don't ever stop writing, I for one would miss your books enormously.

I'd first like to say, how the narrator made me feel, HE was actually the one who had lived through this abusive true story, he was that good.
I wish I could say I enjoyed this book, but I didn't, the content wasn't enjoyable at all, it was horrific.
I was born in the late fifties. Looking back at the people in my class, who rarely attended school, and when they did they had bruises which could be seen, even though they tried to hide them, I wish I had got to know them better.
We could have formed a club, I feel a vast majority of parents in those days, were given free rein, to carry on leaving mental and physical scars, that last a lifetime, because of the inadequacy of people "Not wanting to get involved, or it's none of my business"
I cried, when I read about Little Paul, especially at the end.
There are still an awful lot of Little Pauls' in society, to everyone's shame.

I nearly threw the letter about the inheritance away with the recycling. Late for work, worrying about how I would afford new school shoes for Kate, I just assumed it was a mistake. But perhaps moving to a new home in a quiet seaside town would be the fresh start we both need. Away from the school bullies making Kate’s life a misery, and out of the clutches of my dangerous ex.

Story
Beth Harper is a highly gifted spiritual medium and clairvoyant. Having fled Scarsdale Hall, she's drawn to the remote coastal town of Crewby in north west England, and it soon becomes apparent she has a job to do. The congeniality here is but a thin veneer masking decades of deeply embedded secrets, madness and fear. Although she has help from her spirit guides and many clues are shown in visions, it isn't until the senseless and ritualistic murders happen on Mailing Street, however, that the truth is finally unearthed.

Unfortunately, I only listened to about ten minutes, the narrator spoilt the audio book for me. Her voice was all one tone, as though she was reading a children's story book.
I am going to try the book, because I do like S. E. England. I have read every one of her books, and I really don't want to give up on this one.

First I'd like to say how fantastic Annie Aldington, the narrator read the story. She really made it come alive. I wish all narrators, put as much effort into their portrayal of the story, as she does.
The story was unforgettable, the weaving and interweaving of the lives of each, and every character is faultless.
Jacqui Rose never fails to keep you engrossed, from start to finish.

I don't know where to start. This story has made me, sad, happy, hopeful, despairing and very thoughtful. I couldn't stop listening to it.
I found myself totally engrossed, to the point where I felt like a bystander, watching from the side lines, thanking God that I am safe at home, and not enduring everything this family went through. Mankind at its worst, .........and at it's best.
I promise you, if you read or listen to this book, you will be left with more of an understanding, of the tyranny some of these people have fled from.
Boko Haram are terrifying people, who rule with fear, and I thank God I have never come across such soulless people in my life.
Peter Noble was excellent at narrating this book. Conrad Jones, painted a picture so vividly, of all the characters, buildings and situations, I had no trouble at all seeing them, smelling them and living them. Peter Noble's voice, brought even more of my imagination to life.

On an isolated farm in southern Ireland, a decades-old grave houses the dismembered bones of 11 women. Detective Superintendent Katie Maguire of the Irish Gardai is used to bloodshed, but these white bones speak of unimaginable butchery. Not far away, a young American tourist is at the mercy of a sadistic killer. His tools are a boning knife, twine, and a doll fashioned from rags, nails, and fish-hooks. The murder of his victims is secondary only to his pleasure at their pain.
