Story
In his joyful book, Billy explores this philosophy and how it has shaped him, and he shares hilarious new stories from his lifetime on the road. From riding his trike down America's famous Route 66, building an igloo on an iceberg in the Arctic, playing elephant polo (badly) in Nepal and crashing his motorbike (more than once), to eating witchetty grubs in Australia, being serenaded by a penguin in New Zealand, and swapping secrets in a traditional Sweat Lodge ritual in Canada, Rambling Man is a truly global adventure with the greatest possible travel companion.

Raw meat from the balcony
Reviewed: 15-10-23
I love listening to Billy he is genius, His timing and style are completely unique. He doesn’t tell jokes just reminiscences about his life and adventures in a way that will have you laughing all the way through. I’ve been a fan of his since I first discovered him on Raw meat from the balcony in 1981 on cassette ( I was 14 and he didn’t swear on his shows back then) I listened to it endlessly in my bedroom and I’ve been laughing with him ever since I just wish he’d narrated all of his books that are available on audible.

Story
Cantankerous and dishevelled, Chief Inspector Dover is no one's idea of a model detective - but he does have an uncanny knack for solving crimes. In these radio dramas, set in the 1960s and '70s, he and his long-suffering sergeant, Charlie McGregor, investigate sinister cases of kidnap and murder. The first four are adapted from Joyce Porter's novels, while the latter two are original stories based on her characters.

Story
Even before the doomed mission to Hadley’s Hope on LV-426, Jenette Vasquez had to fight to survive. Born to an immigrant family with a long military tradition, she looked up to the stars, but life pulled her back down to Earth—first into a street gang, then prison. The Colonial Marines proved to be Vasquez’s way out—a way that forced her to give up her twin children. Raised by Jenette’s sister, those children, Leticia and Ramon, had to discover their own ways to survive.

Disappointing
Reviewed: 20-11-22
I love the Alien films and the audiobooks have also given much pleasure, sadly this one been very disappointing the performance is dull and flat. I’ve given up on it after about 4hrs I can think of much better ways of wasting my time watching the traffic go by for instance would be far more rewarding

Story
Sinéad O'Connor's voice and trademark shaved head made her famous by the age of 21. Her recording of Prince's 'Nothing Compares 2 U' made her a global icon. She outraged millions when she tore up a photograph of Pope John Paul II on American television. O'Connor was unapologetic and impossible to ignore, calling out hypocrisy wherever she saw it. She remained that way for over three decades.

The programme summary says you'll get 122 episodes but there is only 102 chapters and quite
a few episodes are repeated, but the most annoying thing is the adverts that appear in every
episode although amusing at first ( cigarette adverts from a different time with a different attitude
towards smoking ) they soon become a nuisance a good show spoiled by adverts
