Story
Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) is generally regarded as the greatest intellectual ever to have appeared in the Arab world - a genius who ranks as one of the world's great minds. Yet the author of the Muqaddima, the most important study of history ever produced in the Islamic world, is not as well known as he should be, and his ideas are widely misunderstood. In this groundbreaking intellectual biography, Robert Irwin provides an engaging and authoritative account of Ibn Khaldun's extraordinary life, times, writings, and ideas.

Poor Audio, derogatory tone of reader spoils book
Reviewed: 30-07-21
John Telfer is a very poor choice as narrator of this audiobook. His tone and attitude is inconsistent with that of the writers. Telfer's appalling pronunciation of non English words further demonstrates his ignorance and underlines how he failed to grasp the essence of this book. Very disappointed. Couldn't listen past first half an hour. A prompt refund was given by Audible and the book was thankfully returned!

Story
Should I Stay or Should I Go? is a survival manual, a guidebook, and a shot of reality. Some people will never change, and kissing frogs is the stuff of fairy tales, not real life. The Beast never turns out to be a nice guy (or gal). This is a book that breaks down what mean people do to us, how they do it, and what we can do to survive.

Very useful audio book, thank you Dr Ramani, especially for recording this yourself! One minor comment; as a male 'reader' coming out of a relationship I struggled a little as you refer to the male as the narcissistic partner throughout the book!

Story
Since the introduction of dietary guidelines calling for reduced fat intake in the 1970s, a strange phenomenon has occurred: Americans have steadily, inexorably become heavier, less healthy, and more prone to diabetes than ever before. After putting more than two thousand of his at-risk patients on a wheat-free regimen and seeing extraordinary results, cardiologist William Davis has come to the disturbing conclusion that it is not fat, not sugar, not our sedentary lifestyle that is causing America’s obesity epidemic—it is wheat.

Wheat belly is nuts...& full of nonsense!!
Supposedly written by a medical doctor it is a conspiracy theory gone wild..
You will only lose weight if you cut out wheat and do not replace with anything, else.. Ie you reduce your dietary intake to lose weight.. Nothing new there Dr!!
