Story
In South London, England, a serial killer appears to be on the loose. Victims have been cruelly slain, bodies are piling high and fear grips the community. But the victims aren’t humans - they’re domestic cats, cute little kitties! The killings spark a relentless investigation by animal rescue group SNARL, led by the formidable Boudicca Rising, her partner Tony and rock musician Rob. Acclaimed journalist Nancy Miller - who helped track down the infamous Golden State Killer - journeys from the US to help the amateur sleuths crack the case.

all the sauceiness that I come to enjoy with another good story line told in that well crafted scripted manner. All told and narrated as i like with proper cracterised voices. The only critisim would be Gideon, who sounds like a dirty old man rather than a hunky policeman.

As always excellent stories provided by the ongoing saga of the Casle's dealing with war time adversity in bomb alley and hells corner told right properly in such dramatic form that you feel like you are tight there in the room with em all. It's like having a ringside seat in the circus that is the Castle Cafe. The only small criticism I would make is that because there is a longish pause between books/episodes, a little bit of a reprise of the story so far and a reminder biography of all the characters would be helpful at the start of this and future episodes would be appreciated by the listener/reader. Otherwise its bloody brilliant and can't wait for the next instalment.

As with the other two books in this series the delivery was notes good as it could have been but I believe the story of the building up to 1066 is very accurate and it is the accuracy that is keeping g me interested.

I am not sure if it was the writing or the narration but expected it to be much more dramatic that it was. I was keen to learn more of this important moment in English history, but I am afraid I was left disappointed. I will listen to the next book in the series because although it wasn't dramatic enough, I understand that it is more or less true to the known historical events.

Since the end of the Cold War so-called experts have been predicting the eclipse of America's 'special relationship' with Britain. But as events have shown, especially in the wake of 9/11, the political and cultural ties between America and Britain have grown stronger. Blood, Class, and Empire examines the dynamics of this relationship, its many cultural manifestations - the James Bond series, PBS "Brit Kitsch", Rudyard Kipling - and explains why it still persists.

I'm not usually into Harry Potter fantasy stories and got into this one from the authors approach on the Barney and Skippy stories (inside joke). I really enjoy the comic humour of the stories, the impending doom of what's happening and the gunho attitude about how they get out of each fix and straight into the next one. it's roller coaster stuff with enough magical technical detail to make it all believable without sending you off into a slumber. Just love this guys style of writing and want more always.

All the chapters start with a particulat iconic London building and the author introduces you the full ins and outs of that building by describing what leads up to its creation and its consequences thereafter both on society and London itself. As a surveyor and a keen historian of London I found it totally absorbing.
