Story
Tribune Cato and Centurion Macro, hardened veterans of the Roman army, have faced the empire's enemies from Britannia to Parthia, from Hispania to Judea. Now once again they are on a mission that will imperil their lives and those of all who serve with them. Loyal to the last to their comrades in battle, fearless in the face of the most brutal or barbaric opponents, they are the finest men the emperor can call on in the service of Rome.

Another great Macro's adventure

The narrator is the perfect candidate for these stories. Overall, the story is enjoyable but not to the level of previous books but that is my perception based on my expectation.

Story
The ice is coming. It was the last thing we expected, but the world is freezing. A new ice age has dawned. Billions have fled the glaciers. A cataclysmic war is coming. In orbit, a group of scientists are running the Winter Experiments, a last-ditch attempt to understand why the planet is cooling. None of the climate models they build make sense. But then they discover an anomaly, an unexplained variation in solar radiation...and something else. Close to the burning edge of the sun, they catch a fleeting glimpse of something that shouldn’t be there....

Story
No one remembers how the Divide was created. The miles-deep and miles-wide chasm has existed for hundreds of years, protecting what remains of humanity from the Golyat: a creature whose shadow moves across the horizon at sunset.

Great story writer and storyteller

Didn't have any expectation for this book at first other that it was written by Jeremy Robinson. The narrator overall delivery of the story is excellent and capable of rendering a gamete of believable emotions to include you in the story. The book starts with a "mise en scene" to explain where characters are at the beginning and provide enough material to incite you to want more. The story is developed well and at a pace which keeps you intrigued and interested, wanting to listen to more of it. The finale is quick in my views but still very good while remaining in the "believable" realm. Excellent work for both the story writer and storyteller.
