I feel like a lot happened and nothing happened. this one was mostly about. I feel like this one was mostly about Doreen and Laken, but with very little Laken. some of the others got some "screen time" but for as long as the book is it feels like there just dragging some stuff on. the election is a cliff hanger, Calroozes fate is a cliff hanger, I'm almost positive one of the other goblins that was hanging out at Aaron's in escaped and was staying up in the high passes and they didn't really get mentioned at all. we did get to see ryoka again and that was fun, I've missed her. nothing really happens asied from the witch stuff and the stuff with the unseen empire. that stuff was interesting and all, I was just hoping to see a bit more of the wandering inn in this one. I'm looking forward to the next one im just hoping for something a bit more meaty.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

The book started out interestingly enough but quickly got very very predictable. if you think it's going to happen based on another book it will probably happen. I got pretty deep into the book before I lost interest.

Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Story
My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin. Betraying them at the last moment, just when their glorious victory was on hand. I have been found again by the newest member of a quartet of dungeon crawlers. Poor fool. This time will be no different. Or does it have to be? Maybe I don't need to spend eternity left in a deep, dark dungeon waiting to devour would-be heroes. Maybe, just maybe, I can take him over and use this new identity to leave and masquerade as an adventurer myself.

the book does in one novel what many stretch out to five. iv grown so use to having to wait for the next book to come out before I can find out what happens next that this was a pleasant experience. the whole book is pretty light hearted they go through a bunch of arcs in short succession but for the most part it leaves you happy in the end.

over all the story is alright, i will probably pick up the next book to see if it fills in some plot holes. still not sure why the gnomes didn't just offer to deal with whatever Bs was on floor 3 so he would stay and help him. hell they wore offering him 1000s of gold just to stay and talk he could have just sead I need 40g in cash and a courier to deliver it and my friend to this goblin witch and I'll stay and tell you everything. Hell the gnomes might have gone and captured the feckin monster for him if he had told them what it was and grabbed him what he needed if they still didn't want to give him the cash.
there wore alot of odd things that did add to the world, but also made things weard. over all it's an ok read but I'm not in a rush to pick up the rest of the books.

it's a story of a 19-20 something year old man getting put in the body of a 16 YO fox boy. dude never really mentions that he's a grown ass man. other then that the fox bit doesn't come up all that offten. the voice actor made them sound more like the wore 13-14 rather then 16, but I feel part of that was the dialogue. over all it was ok, it really didn't leave me wanting more.

Story
There was once a village off the coast of Cornwall, England where people were so poor that they prayed for shipwrecks. They made their living by salvaging food and clothing from the wreckage. Some of them lit fires during a storm to lure ships onto the rocks. Then these "wreckers" made sure that no one survived the wrecks, so there would be no witnesses to their crimes. One stormy night in 1799, 14-year-old John Spencer was unfortunate enough to be on his father's ship when the wreckers did their worst.

I didn't remember much of it and honestly if it wasn't for one thing, I believe I would have forgotten it. the glass phosphorus candles / matches. I have been looking for those things for years and I can't find a thing about them let alone find ones to buy.

Story
In an era in which ancient gods live in the world’s cities together with their mortal followers, forming tight-knit guilds and powerful temples, the disfigured ash-caster and blacksmith Hineni has lived his entire life as a reclusive outcast. Hidden away behind layers of clothing and just as many walls and doors, he only ever leaves the house in the dead of night, so that neither the gods or anyone else can ever see him. However, on one of these night-tide outings, he finds that has gained the unwanted attention of what is seemingly a perfectly normal owl.
