Story
When the end of the world arrived, it came not with a bang, as most expected, but with more of a "pfft" instead. Humanity has been torn asunder and brought to the edge of total annihilation in less than an hour. For those who died, it was a quick death, so fast that their brains didn't have time to process the pain signals from their nerves. For those who survived, the true horror is about to begin as they struggle to not only stay alive, but come to grips with the shocking realization about what - and who - was responsible.

The terrible narration!!

I’m sure the story would have rated better if the author didn’t cheap out and narrate this story himself. Jeezus Mr. Doe sounds like dark helmet from spaceballs!! Hard to take it seriously when your attention is pulled away by the cringeworthy performance!!

A Convoluted Tale.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, the second book was getting a bit muddled with time travel scenarios, and honestly the 3rd book was 10% story and 90% explanations of how all the time travel scenarios were going to work. I literally suffered through the last 8 hours of it just so i could be done. I love Orson Scott Card's work! He fell into the time travel paradox that make these kind of novels hard to listen to.... Let me travel back in time and try explaining that again!!
