À propos de cet audio

"Be prepared to stay up all night...."

Laurel Snow wouldn't call hunting a serial killer a vacation, but with a pile of dead bodies unearthed near her Genesis Valley, Washington, hometown, she'll take what she can get. Yet something about this case stirs her in unexpected ways. Like the startling connection she feels to Dr. Abigail Caine, a fiercely intelligent witness with a disturbing knack for making Laurel feel like she has something on her. Then there's Laurel's attraction to Huck Rivers, the fish and wildlife officer guiding her to the crime scene—and into the wilderness....

A former soldier and a trained sniper, Huck seems to have his own secrets, not least of which are his whereabouts the night yet another woman disappears. And when the body is dumped where Laurel can't help but find it, she knows this cat-and-mouse game is personal....

Once in the heart of darkness with Huck, Laurel must negotiate her conflicting feelings for him, her complex rapport with Abigail—and her mission to find a serial killer among a growing list of suspects and a danger that's far too close to home. So close in fact, Laurel fears she will never find her way back to the woman she once was....

Gripping Start to a New Series with Intriguing

📚E-BOOK📚&🎧AUDIO🎧

I stumbled upon *You Can Run* by Rebecca Zanetti while browsing my Audible library for a book title starting with “Y” to complete a book challenge—and I found an unexpected gem! Though this genre is different from my usual reads, it was captivating from start to finish. It’s also not my first Rebecca Zanetti book, but it’s been a while since I last read her work, and this one made for a refreshing return.

This is the first in the Laurel Snow series, and while it introduces a new storyline, there’s no cliffhanger, which I appreciated. From what I gather, each book in the series focuses on the main character with a new plot and a different killer. In this installment, Laurel, a child prodigy and FBI profiler, returns to her hometown to investigate and clear her uncle from suspicion, diving into a fast-paced, twisty murder case.

Laurel teams up with Huck, a rugged wildlife officer who isn't thrilled to work with others but who must cooperate with her to track a serial killer. The story takes them to an eerie dumping ground for murder victims, leading to a puzzle with suspects lurking everywhere. I loved the dynamic between Laurel and Huck, who balances her with his cautious, protective nature.

At one point, I even found myself thinking the murderer could be Laurel’s uncle, only to dismiss it—then, bam! I was right all along. I might just have a detective’s intuition! This book kept me guessing, and I look forward to more of the series for its well-layered characters and thrilling plot twists.
