Histoire
Seventeen years have gone by since the Coordinated Endeavor crashed on a distant exoplanet. Ambrose Cusk and Kodiak Celius are now the devoted parents of two teenage children, Owl and Yarrow, in a hardscrabble frontier home. Though life on Minerva is full of danger, the family’s bond is enough to make it all worth it—until they learn that the biggest threat to their survival might come from within.

Survival Thriller

This is nothing like the first novel and I'm GLAD. It takes us to a more focused lens of Being in the future and delving into the past. It moved from a psychological thriller to more of a sci-fi expansion family story. But honestly, it was done well. Give it a go and see if it pulls you in.

Histoire
Daisy sees dead people—something impossible to forget in bustling, ghost-packed Toronto. She usually manages to deal with her unwanted ability, but she’s completely unprepared to be dumped by her boyfriend. So when her mother inherits a secluded mansion in northern Ontario where she spent her childhood summers, Daisy jumps at the chance to escape. But the house is nothing like Daisy expects, and she begins to realize that her experience with the supernatural might be no match for her mother’s secrets, nor what lurks within these walls…

there was really only two options for who the contact could have been, and I am glad that it ended up being the person that I assumed. really solidifying the giving lost black girls a voice as opposed to just making it solely a ghost story.

I'm not sure how many people saw the analogy between the Milkman and white supremacy. but that's how I'm choosing to interpret it, the story was well done and the analogy provided anything can give a lot of people some sight into how things are for black people in the North America's.

Honestly, this was even better than the first book. I'm glad it didn't have the amount of romance that a lot of people expected, because it focused more on relationships where mistakes happen and people take accountability whether they're romantic platonic or familial. highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to read about a girl that is going to be very frustrating but who ends up learning and bettering her community of which the community also learns to be better from.
