Histoire
Equipped with skills far beyond those of the outworlders, Rezkin has been suddenly thrust into a foreign world. The young warrior clings to his only known purpose as he continues his search for any information about his identity and the reason for his existence. While the hardened warrior scorns both dueling and tournaments, he believes some of the answers he seeks may be found at the King's Tournament, the greatest dueling championship in all of the kingdoms.

Interesting story, fun, exciting, excellent main character and side characters, and excellent narrator.

Interesting, exciting, fun, humorous at times, excellent main character, and excellent side characters with wonderful character growth. Narrator is excellent also, and does multiple voices so extremely well. I love that even though Rezkin it is extremely skilled and competent (much more so than everybody else) but many of the side characters are also very competent in their own right which is nice to see. The story was so well done and moved to such a good pace. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Interesting, exciting, fun, humorous at times, excellent main character, and interesting side characters. Narrator is excellent also. I love that the main character/hero is not afraid to kill a bad guy like in some stories. I really enjoy how he reasons everything out in his head so well too. Everything makes perfect sense.

Histoire
Rezkin is an elite warrior who aims to restore order in Ashai after Caydean's attack on the King's Tournament transformed former allies and trading partners into enemies. With no army and only a ragtag group of refugees, Rezkin must wrest control of the kingdom from the mad and powerful usurper, who seems bent on destruction, and this may not be the biggest challenge. If he fails, the kingdom will be ripped apart, and Rezkin will have violated Rule 1 - to protect and honor his friends.

Interesting, fun, imaginative, exciting, excellent main character and side characters
Évalué le: 2024-02-22
This book delves more into fantasy than the previous two books but it was extremely well done and descriptive and interesting, and exciting without being too over the top. As before the main character Rezkin is awesome and all the side characters are really well done and awesome in their own way. Everything is so well thought out, it's extremely impressive. The complex story lines, character developments and rules for the world they live in are just so well thought out. And the narrator is amazing, he does so many different voices and so well that you would swear it is different people doing voices sometimes. I loved this book and the two previous books. I highly recommend this series.

Histoire
When the Imperial prison barge Purge—temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy’s most ruthless killers, Rebels, scoundrels, and thieves—breaks down in a distant part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party from the Purge is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back—bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours, nearly all aboard the Purge die in ways too hideous to imagine.

Pretty good story but could have been much better. Narrator and sound effects were great though
Évalué le: 2023-12-22
Story was pretty decent and had a good creep factor especially through the first half of the book. my biggest issue with it is the characters themselves and the stupid things they kept doing and purposely overlooking just for furthering the story. at one point the book one of the characters sees something tells people that he saw something and everybody ignores him and nobody goes back to it like anybody would ever do that in real life. Character decisions were unnecessarily stupid at times.

Revisiting classic adventures has been extremely successful. "Queen of the Demonweb Pits" was one of the most popular adventures ever created for the Dungeons & Dragons game. This novelization appeals to those who have played through the adventure, as well as to those who have an interest in drow elves - one of the most popular races in the game.

Excellent Narration & characters, but dumb story
Évalué le: 2022-09-27
Bernard Setaro Clark is excellent at the narration, he does multiple distinct voices so well it's unbelievable, one of the best I've heard. The characters I absolutely love and wish there was more stories about them because they have such a wonderful dialogue together. Unfortunately I found the story to be lacking and way over the top for what they were fighting against, and in the end the story came off kinda dumb and hard to get through. This story was by far the least interesting of the three books about these characters.

Narrator was not the right choice for this book
Évalué le: 2022-07-11
The narrator was not the right choice for this book at all. most of the characters come off way too priming proper sounding and the voice she would use for the males made them sound really dopey and stunned most of the time.
Also I found the storyline to be a little tedious and unnecessarily overly descriptive at times. There were times when I found myself having a hard time paying attention cause I felt like they were just prattling on about stuff.

Drizzt and Catti-brie have been away from Mithral Hall for six long years, but the pain of a lost companion still weighs heavily on their strong shoulders. Chasing pirates aboard Captain Deudermont's Sea Sprite is enough to draw their attention away from their grief. Then a mysterious castaway on an uncharted island sends them back to the very source of their pain, and into the clutches of a demon with vengeance on his mind.

Story was so bad, I struggled to finishing it.
Évalué le: 2021-10-25
I feel like Salvatore phoned in this one. The characters were mind-numbingly stunned the entire way through the book, purposefully making mistakes just to forward the story. Proper attention was not paid to characters that should have been in my opinion. And the end of the book a friend of mine described it as being dumbed down to the equivalent of doing a dungeon in WOW and I have to agree. There was almost no thought put into making it make sense, having a sensible plan, strategy of attack, or a team that could take on the enormous task they were tryinig to complete. The bounds of believability were way beyond stretched in this book.
