I love these books and the world so much. The narration is great and I love how the story went even if the book stop abruptly.

I already knew going into this that this was a dark Peter Pan retelling but ir wasn't the dark I expected. This was really bittersweet and beauriful. I did cry more than once and I really enjoy having Bell as the voice of the book.

Love first contact with aliens. I love how the author did the giant spider. They must be protected at all cost. I will worn the readers that this is very science heavy. The ending was super suprising.

In this unique YA anthology, 13 acclaimed, best-selling authors team up with 13 influential BookTubers to reimagine fairy tales from the oft-misunderstood villains' points of view. These fractured, unconventional spins on classics like Medusa, Sherlock Holmes, and 'Jack and the Beanstalk' provide a behind-the-curtain look at villains' acts of vengeance, defiance, and rage - and the pain, heartbreak, and sorrow that spurned them on. No fairy tale will ever seem quite the same again!

Problems with having a lot diff. author for diff. stories is that some are going to be good and some bad. The Sea Witch and Death Knell were so amazing that I cried. Some villain did not feel like villain at all?? Still worth it for the ones that where good

Histoire
For five centuries, a witch's curse has bound the trolls to their city beneath the ruins of Forsaken Mountain. Time enough for their dark and nefarious magic to fade from human memory and into myth. But a prophesy has been spoken of a union with the power to set the trolls free, and when Ccile de Troyes is kidnapped and taken beneath the mountain, she learns there is far more to the myth of the trolls than she could have imagined.

This story was different and fun. Good romance and sassy male MC. I like both narrator but I would have just put one...not enough male chapter to put a new narrator in my opinion.

Zafira is the Hunter, disguising herself as a man when she braves the cursed forest of the Arz to feed her people. Nasir is the Prince of Death, assassinating those foolish enough to defy his autocratic father, the sultan. If Zafira was exposed as a girl, all of her achievements would be rejected; if Nasir displayed his compassion, his father would punish him in the most brutal of ways. Both Zafira and Nasir are legends in the kingdom of Arawiya - but neither wants to be.

Felt a little cliché
Évalué le: 2020-05-11
Steve West did an amazing job like he always do. The femal3 narrator was ok but some part where remade in the middle of paragraph which made the narration shaky. The story was too cliché for me and the world to simple. Love the author writting style tho.

Histoire
In a sprawling mansion filled with peculiar treasures, January Scaller is a curiosity herself. As the ward of the wealthy Mr. Locke, she feels little different from the artifacts that decorate the halls: carefully maintained, largely ignored, and utterly out of place. Then she finds a strange book. A book that carries the scent of other worlds and tells a tale of secret doors, of love, adventure, and danger. Each page turn reveals impossible truths about the world, and January discovers a story increasingly entwined with her own.

Amazing performance
Évalué le: 2020-04-10
Maybe it's because I've been reading a lot of portal fantasy these days, this book was not as good as I was expecting. The story made me think a lot of Passenger (even if this book is not sci-fi). The audiobook was really good. That performance is one of the best I've leasen so far. I give 1 more star just for all thise good voice and how she made the perfect pauses to make the story way more magical that it was. I just like my portal fantasy more whimsical.

Histoire
In the highly anticipated finale to the New York Times best-selling trilogy, dictators, prophets, and tensions rise. In a world that’s conquered death, will humanity finally be torn asunder by the immortal beings it created? Citra and Rowan have disappeared. Endura is gone. It seems like nothing stands between Scythe Goddard and absolute dominion over the world scythedom. With the silence of the Thunderhead and the reverberations of the Great Resonance still shaking the earth to its core, the question remains: Is there anyone left who can stop him?

I really like this series but this book is my least favarite. The world is still great or even better but I just didn't really like how it end. It felt to easy. The narrator does again an amazing job.

Another good book
Évalué le: 2020-01-15
This book was better than the first one. This serie is big on political intrigue and I love it for it. Greg Tremblay did an amazing job. His nuance and tones make for some great varity of characters(males and females). At some point he was able to mix 2 character voices so perfectly I was shock. I ll be sure to check the other books he narrate.
