Really good ending

As always, Frieda McFadden gives a terrific ending. Really twisted ending that even a seasoned listener of hers would find intriguing. Nice story, some of the characters were annoying (as mentioned in other reviews) but overall it was worth it.

I loved the short video of the let them theory and since I saw it I have “Let Them” written all over my house as a constant reminder. Amazing book that I Will definitely listen to again, whenever I need reminding to let other people do their own thing and remind myself to let me focus on my own life. Bravo Mel.

The ending is wonderful for this book. I will admit I’m a bit upset that this showed as being released 12-17-24 so I purchased it as I love Frieda McFadden books, but within the first five minutes of listening I realized I’ve heard this book before. I am also unhappy with Audible for not allowing me to return it. So now I have the same book twice. This book should have shown as re-released.
But for a first time reader…it’s great. You’ll think you know the end, but chances are…you don’t. (Unless you were tricked into buying it again like I was)

My husband is dead. I attended his funeral. I watched his casket be lowered six feet into the ground. (Actually, it may have been only five feet, but that still seems like more than enough.) And then we ate an array of finger sandwiches and deviled eggs and miniature beef wellingtons that cost more than my first car. My point is, Grant is gone. And so are all his many, many deep, dark secrets which I never really ever bothered to ask him about. He is never coming back.

Good short story

Freida McFadden is my favourite author, always keeps me wondering till the end. This was one of my least favourite listens and that is only due to the main character. Like she is sooooo flighty. Honestly came off as unbelievable. Wasn’t as exciting as I hoped. Nice short listen while making cinnamon buns and washing dishes.

I really am a huge fan of Freida McFadden books and this one did not disappoint. I kinda guessed the ending prior but still really enjoyed my victory of being correct. I really appreciate the twists at the end of her novels.

I love Freida McFadden as an author. She always keeps you hanging on till the very end. The boyfriend is no different. I couldn’t put this book down until it was finished and then I wanted more. Highly recommended.

I found this book was really dry and not overly exciting. If there was a bit more excitement to go off of I may have finished this book. I tried, I really tried, but just could not get myself exciting for this book. Tried to return and guess I was too late? That sucks. Wasted money on this.

Narcissism at its finest

This book has a very captivating storyline that keeps you interested. I do feel the main female is a bit of a pushover at first but she is also dealing with a bunch of narcissistic people around her. The main male is a bit controlling and vulgar and I really hate how he calls his love a slut continuously. Not really how you should show affection to someone you care about imo. But the storyline was good and I really loved the performance.
