PBR is the world’s premier bull riding organization. It started more than 30 years ago when 20 entrepreneurial bull riders broke away from rodeo with a vision of creating a standalone sport for their and future generations. They felt their passion for bull riding, honesty, integrity, and work ethic deserved to be rewarded with a hard day’s wage. Today PBR is one of the most prolific sports on television. Over 500 bull riders compete in more than 200 events annually across The PBR Unleash The Beast Tour (UTB) and PBR Teams, which are televised weekly on CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network and other networks around the world.
Ariat is the Official Footwear Partner of the PBR, Title Sponsor of the Ariat Texas Rattlers and Official Footwear and Apparel Sponsor of the Missouri Thunder.

Founded in 1984 by Lu Vason, the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is the only touring rodeo that pays homage to Black cowboy culture and celebrates the contributions of the Black cowboy to the American West. Like many rodeos, the BPIR features events like bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling. However, it also educates about Black cowboys in Western history and incorporates distinct cultural ideologies, such as flying the original Pan-African flag, now known as the African American flag, in addition to the American flag and opening the rodeo with the Black national anthem, “Life Every Voice and Sing.”
