Access to private areas of Parliament House is controlled electronically to ensure only people with authorised access can enter. Access is enabled by an Australian Parliament House (APH) Access Pass (Access Card).

Applying for an APH Access Card
To apply for, renew or organise a replacement Access Card, please:
- complete one of the forms below:
- send the completed application form (signed by the applicant and an Authorised Officer) to the Pass Office by emailing [email protected].

The APH Security Pass office will contact you once the application has been decided (this can take up to 8 weeks). Once approval is received, call the office on (02) 6277 5989 to make an appointment. Remember to bring photographic identification with you to your appointment.
Pass Office opening hours
The Pass Office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:50 pm (excluding public holidays).

The Pass Office is located on Ground Floor in the Marble Foyer. It is near the main front pass issue desk and adjacent to the main front public entrance.

If your card is lost, damaged or stolen, report it immediately by either:
