Giants. They are subjects of our most primordial fears but also of fascination, and along with them a host of half-man, half-animal beasts that haunted the dreams of our earliest ancestors. Since 1991 both of these have been brought together in lurid tales spun by an entity known only as Rogue. In his world Nature towers over pathetic humanity in ways sometimes benevolent, but most often brutal, in the form of giants that have come to be known as macrofurs. Rogue's giants are Nature run amok, colossal beasts freed from the shackles of bestial intelligence. In their eyes human beings are anything from pets to pests and are treated accordingly, to be cared for or crushed underfoot, or if luck is truly against them, reduced to the role of playthings for the most unholy of pleasures. In this collection are nine of Rogue's stories in which males of various macrofur species are introduced according to their relations with the puny beings who scurry at their feet, a steady progression from giants who are caring to callous to cruel, and in the last pages, to unspeakably evil. Little is known of the creature that has been called Rogue, other than what has been learned from the survivors of his rampages. He is of lupine descent and said to be in the neighborhood of ninety feet in height, though some say more. His stories, appearing here for the first time in print, are believed to be written by individuals kept by Rogue as unwilling ghostwriters somewhere in the wilds of Appalachia.

About the Author

Rogue is, arguably, the original macrofur. A manlike wolf who stands ninety feet tall, he came rampaging onto the scene in 1992. Stories spread around the internet about his savage assaults on cities and the fruitless attempts by humanity to drive him away, but rather than inspiring fear and panic, he created instead a cult following. Over time the stories began to evolve into tales told by Rogue himself of other giant creatures and their many misadventures. Lacking education, the ability to write and, some have argued, the capacity for coherent thought, Rogue is said to employ one or more human stenographers to transcribe his stories for him, usually in return for being removed from the menu. He is believed to reside in a cave located in the Northeastern United States, although its precise location has never been determined.

Few writers in this genre have reached the fame and notoriety that Rogue has. He is the father of the genre and in this first collection of stories, he shows off what he can do. This book is not for the faint of heart or those who are easily disturbed. These stories start very tame and sweet but progress to be very dark indeed. To sweeten the deal, Rogue has included two new stories only found in this volume. If you like macro stories and love the big lovable Rogue, pick up your copy today.
