    via NYPost: Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to launch a “big f–king operation” across sanctuary cities — including Chicago and New York — immediately after President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, multiple sources told The Post.

    Starting Jan. 21, multi-day “ground operations” will be launched across cities that have served as safe havens for migrants because the local authorities do not cooperate with the federal government when it comes to immigration issues, sources said.

  • apparently what actually happened is that someone got their hands on an email address and layout that LOOKS official. no actual hacking of their systems happened. i feel like it would be more widespread and catastrophic if it had. as of right now just make sure you absolutely triple check to make sure any emails from discord are real! if you get a message saying your account got TOS"d, try and log back in first. if something is wrong, contact discord support yourself.

    i repeat: discord"s email servers are fine! this is a phishing scam and nothing more

    I never imagined I would find myself in a situation that would require me to write these words, but life has taken an unexpected and devastating turn. My family, consisting of my beloved husband and our eight children, is facing a crisis that we cannot overcome alone. Our home, once filled with love and laughter, has been shattered. The roof over our heads, the walls that protected us, and the place where our children grew up are lost. We lost not only our home, but the foundations of our lives. Now, we struggle every day to survive, with nowhere to go or a way to rebuild without help.

    Our children, who should be focused on school and their dreams, worry instead about where they will sleep or when their next meal will be. The weight of their fear and confusion breaks my heart. As parents, we feel helpless and unable to provide basic necessities for our loved ones.

  • Hello everyone, my name is Andrea and I am the organizer for @noor509"s GoFundMe campaign

    Shortly before we reached our goal, we had our transfers paused due to GoFundMe wanting to verify information and wanting to know if the money had been sent.

    I had sent a majority of the money directly to Nour"s bank account, but due to an issue we recently had to switch to Western Union. I provided documents and answered all of the team member"s questions, but in the end GoFundMe had decided to close Nour"s campaign anyways.

    The last transfer that was sent to us was on November 3rd and we had transfers paused on the 4th. If you have not received a refund from GoFundMe already, please reach out to them to demand for a refund.

    We are Hadeel and Abdelrahman, two gazan couple who, just like many others, dreamed of building a better life. For years, we poured our hearts and souls into our company, dreaming of a future full of possibility, independence, and success. But in an instant, everything was destroyed.

    One phosphorus bomb took it all. Our tent, our belongings, our dreams—all turned to ashes.


    But what hurt the most was not the loss of things, but the loss of our future.

    While fleeing for our lives, we had to choose between saving our loved ones or saving our work. I chose my sister. And as I ran, I looked back at the burning remnants of everything we had worked for. My heart shattered.
