A friend in need is a friend indeed! Typhoon #Yagi has passed, but recovering from its aftermath requires a great deal of unity and collective effort. Dutch businesses in Vietnam have been actively supported the local communities during and post Yagi. 👐HEINEKEN Vietnam has donated 2 billion VND and will provide 1,300 essential supply packages to people in the storm-affected areas. 👐Right after the typhoon, the Signify team made their way under difficult circumstances to deliver essential supplies like clean water, milk, and bread to Bac Giang province. 👐FrieslandCampina's Dutch Lady brand team has directly reached the hardest-hit regions, delivering tens of thousands of milk portions to spread love and support to the people. 👐In recent weeks, De Heus Vietnam has provided 500 essential supply packages to schools in Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai Provinces, and is launching new relief efforts this week. 👐Nazava Water Filters 💦 B Corp has donated its water filters to the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities as a small act of support. There are many more actions and initiatives from Dutch businesses active in Vietnam. Dutch businesses not only contribute to the development of a green and sustainable economy in Vietnam but also stand ready to support local communities during times of hardship. #HanoiPride 2024: Celebrating Every Color! 🌈✨ Last weekend, Hanoi was a beautiful tapestry of colors, love, and unity. We cycled together in the spirit of Hanoi Pride and celebrated the beauty of the #LGBTIQ community. The happiness, warmth and heartfelt conversations made us remember that every color in the rainbow, including orange 😉, symbolizes the community's strength, unity, and commitment to #equal #rights for all 🧡 #NLinVietnam is a proud partner to advocate for LGBTIQ rights in Vietnam. Let’s continue to stand together for equal rights, respect, and dignity for all. #Diversity is our strength, and #inclusion is our responsibility. Love is love💪💖 Jens Kuitert Tomas Königs

The UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) announced an allocation of US$ 2 million to Vietnam for an urgent humanitarian response to the Yagi typhoon on Friday. The Netherlands is a committed country being part of this multilateral humanitarian effort to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of the recent typhoon and its aftermath in #Vietnam. Vietnam and the Netherlands have shared special people-to-people ties for over 300 years. In the past half-century, we have not only become trusted trade partners but also true friends in times of need. Established in 2005 by the #UN General Assembly, CERF is one of the fastest and most effective ways to ensure that urgently needed humanitarian assistance reaches people caught up in crises. The Netherlands is among the top donor countries to contribute US$61 million (€55 million) annually to CERF.
