Keystone

An abstract game played for centuries in Makaal, from the Spout Lore universe, a Dungeon World podcast.

Keystone is a game played between two players. The goal is to be the one to knock over the Keystone in the center of the board. The Keystone represents the central pillar of the empire of the giants, and once it falls their reign is ended. It is the nature of the empire to fall. We know this, but we build the empire anyways, as quickly and as magnificently as possible.

Players form stacks of dice that move around the board, slowly moving inward by placing new dice. Once a Tower is formed in the central ring, the game is over and the empire has fallen.
