Unity Health Toronto, comprised of Providence Healthcare, St. Joseph’s Health Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital, works to advance the health of everyone in our urban communities and beyond. Accreditation
Unity Health has been accredited with Exemplary Standing.
This is the highest level of performance achievable in the Accreditation Canada program, which is used by over 10,000 sites in 30 countries.

Accreditation Canada is a not-for-profit, independent organization that provides health organizations with an external peer review to assess the quality of their services based on standards of excellence. Surveys are conducted by experienced professionals from accredited health facilities.
Unity Health’s Providence site has also earned Distinction in Stroke Services from Accreditation Canada. Stroke Distinction is a specialty Accreditation program that recognizes health organizations that demonstrate clinical excellence and an outstanding commitment to leadership in stroke care.
