I nominated it in VFP. Because it is funny. Thought you might like to know. Whoremonal 18:49, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
Can you please[edit]
Upload a bigger Machiavelli pic? I like big pix, and I'd like it to fill at least a third of the width of the page. Otherwise it's awesome. I should probably be giving you a template but cant be bothered. Thanks. ~

Thanks again[edit]
The article you shopped images for ended up as a feature on the front page. I wish to thank you once more for your help. You ought to edit this site more often than it seems you do; I nominated the Tiger Woods image on VFP, others agreed unanimously that it was a work of art - you could do a lot of good here. This somehow landed on my talkpage, so I'm passing it on to you since you created that Beigeopedia image:
Sir MacMania GUN—[15:30 9 Aug 2010]
Yeah, sorry about that, I misunderstood who made the image based on my talk page. I really think it was cool of you to make that. Thanks again! It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 02:28, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
- The article is nominated for feature if you are interested in voting for it. I really appreciate your contribution, by the way. It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 05:11, August 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Honestly, I didn't know the majority of what you said there as far as the formatting goes. I killed the menu with the help of advice from EMC, but I have no idea what to do with the navbar, the references, etc. I also don't understand what you mean with the NOEDITSECTION. Would you be willing to make that change so I know what you're talking about? It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 05:29, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Good pic find. Did you want to use it on Indulgence only? I've put it on Evil Jesus, a page I've been toying with for awhile, but will take it down if you would like to exclusive it on a page you had in mind for it. Thanks, Aleister 20:15 9 8

Its yours. Saw the article in recent changes and whipped this up for you. Least I can do! I only wish I had the time to clean it up more at the bottom. Shouldn't be too noticeable as a thumb though. Testing randomness of choose tag[edit]
-- 22:34, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- I put in a link to purge/refresh whatever page the template is on, so that the reader can cycle through the different instalments and also so that you have an easier time testing randomness stuff. Revert if you'd prefer it without the link. Sir MacMania GUN—[23:01 24 Aug 2010]
- Also, did you know that you can put in weights for your options? You'll see this roughly one out of three times because this option is unweighted while the other is weighted with a weight of 2, meaning two times the probability of an unweighted option. Probably useless, but good to know. Sir MacMania GUN—[23:05 24 Aug 2010]
Thanks muchly, Mac. It's perfect, and hidden well. You've had some practice with it, I see. I hadn't known whether it's randomized as the page loads or flattened at the server level. And now I know what action:purge does and can use it without undue fear! -- 23:37, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Without purge, it won't randomise unless you clear the browser's stored files/cache/whatever for the page—force reload does this, but just plain reload does not. In any case, the purge function is probably the safest method for reloading a page's contents (I use it if the Main Page or recently featured/failed lists on VFH don't update properly, and articles that depend on option/choose like HowTo:Play Russian Roulette or Schrödinger's cat have a purge link somewhere). Plus it always gets rid of a few thousand disloyal party comrades. Sir MacMania GUN—[23:55 24 Aug 2010]

I also liked your xkcd article. About Beige, I asked Sannse about that thing you posted that I didn't understand, and she posted something else that I don't understand. Maybe you can make some sense of her response? (shrug) It's Mrthejazz... a case not yet solved. 04:15, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
It's pretty much how she says. I guess Wikia doesn't make a policy of installing any extension without having the "technical team" vet it first. Which means somebody'd have to contact them using that form, which is probably much more trouble than it's worth. The Beige page is already pretty beige anyway, and wouldn't necessarily be completely so with that code, being that nonstandard config might leave the nav box headers and the search box alone. That "page-specific CSS" is already possible, it involves making a standalone code page and having an admin hook it in to the sitewide CSS file, like User:Olipro did for widescreening thexkcd reskin. The only person I know who might know how to make changes of that scale inline is User:PuppyOnTheRadio, who has done some pretty damn impressive things by seeming to overlay page elements manually. While the extension might have made making pages like Microsoft Knowledge Base a lot cleaner and easier, it's probably more trouble than it's worth at this juncture. Looking back on it, I think the page is fine. 23:29, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Amazing pic![edit]
Wow, I am very impressed! How much time do you have to work to do this? (The anti rad ham pic, seems I'm stuck here) It's simply awesome! I'm nomming you for potatochopper of the month! I'm sure the article is gonna be good, I started it today, but a pic like this will be a big part of its lulziness! How does the nomming of pics on VFP work? Mattsnow 20:30, June 24, 2011 (UTC)
First of all, I'm honored by your inclination to nom me for something. Image Request-ers usually respond with a short thank you if they respond at all; a good number of them of course fade into the ethereal nothingness that is the Intarwebs never to return or write their articles, as you probably already know. I spent about 20 or 30 minutes on this image, most of that time being consumed in an admittedly silly search for a picture of a stove with a good diagonal view from behind (couldn't easily find that so I gave up and resorted to launching the editor of a certain game and then just rotating the model to find something that was a rough approximation). The rest of the time was spent messing with various tones and such as I have one of those silly film simulation plugins I like to fool around with and obsessively compare the minutely different results, only to just pick one of them on a whim. It was sort of funny that Zombiebaron and I responded at around the same time; I uploaded first, he reported first - two minutes is very close timing for these sorts of things.
Anyway, VFP is fairly simple if you haven't used it before: you just type the name of the image you wish to highlight into the field and hit the button. As I recall (which I should as I self-nommed two pictures that I had left stewing either on my hard drive or the server for a while), you just type in the short name of the image (eg: Hitlerbear.png instead of File:Hitlerbear.png).
Thanks again for the nomination, and best of luck on writing your article. -- 20:57, June 24, 2011 (UTC)
- Done thing, it's on VFP! As you can guess, I have no potatochopping skills. I always cut my hands. But I am not a bad writer, since I have 3 features in the 2 months I have been here. I don't want to sound egotestical, but my best work here since I enrolled in the boot camp is certainly Heaven's Gate, go have a read if you want (it was featured, so it is not a shameless whoring). I hope you like it, and seing your contribs log, how awesome would it be if you dropped in more often! Thanks for your much appreciated help. Take the gif as a reward. Mattsnow 21:21, June 24, 2011 (UTC)PS: the pic you did for me is in an
article on an early development period, but it will not go stagnant, I intend on making the best article I possibly can with it (when I am not drunk)
- I don't want to sound egotestical either, but whenever I go jogging, my giant egotesticals sound like "Thwump, Thwack, Thwump, Thwack". My welted thighs are not amused. Anyway, thanks Mr. Meep for the kind words on your Tom Paine vote. It's nice to see that some people were able to read past the intro. As soon as Rockstar steals the idea we must play a team pamphlet match together. For words!--Imrealized ...hmm? 09:09, June 25, 2011 (UTC)
