The Water Safe Friendly programme builds on the success of the Learn Live digital delivery of educating young people across the UK with programmes like Rail Safe Friendly. This programme is supported by Rebecca Adlington who is an English former competitive swimmer who specialised in freestyle events in international competition. Becky won two gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 400-metre freestyle and 800-metre freestyle and is passionate about teaching children to swim and stay safe in or around water. Water Safe Friendly provides schools with an opportunity to work together towards a common goal to improve water safety in all schools across the UK. A moderated, GDPR compliant LIVE CHAT facility is also available for schools/colleges taking part in water safe friendly to help capture feedback and evaluations.
