🚀 A massive thank you to Exertis UK for hosting us at their mind-blowing Burnley facility! Their warehouse is so enormous that five football fields could fit inside, and if you stacked four double-decker buses, you’d still have room to throw a warehouse rave! 🤣 With a footprint of around 52,000 sq meters (43,000 of that dedicated to the warehouse), they’re already eyeing even more space! The pick tower? Oh boy, it’s a real showstopper! Featuring 32 aisles that stretch 100 meters each, all serviced by the largest forklift on the planet. Seriously, if it got any taller, they might need a hot air balloon just to reach the top shelf! 🏗️ Every year, an astonishing 17 million units pass through this distribution wonderland. On busy days, they juggle around 90 articulated vehicles delivering an average of 650 pallets and 500 SKUs—talk about a logistical ballet! 🚚 And did I mention they operate 24/7? That’s right, they’re always on the move! Plus, with nearly 3,000 solar panels generating 40% of their electricity and reducing carbon emissions by 450 tonnes a year, they’re not just moving products; they’re saving the planet one delivery at a time! 🌱 We also loved using their boardroom for our planning session! It was a productive couple of days for the SMART Technologies team, and we can’t wait for the exciting second half of the year ahead.
