About us

Dive In is a global movement in the business sector to support the development of inclusive workplace cultures. Its mission is to enable people to achieve their potential by raising awareness of the business case and promoting positive action for diversity in all its forms. Originally launched in London in 2015 by a group of firms in the Lloyd’s Market acting through D&I strategy steering group, Inclusion@Lloyd’s. Dive In promotes year-round best practice in diversity and inclusion with tools and advice that culminate in an annual three-day festival in September. Events are hosted by businesses of all types and sizes, all around the world. From navigating today’s global, multi-generational workplace to making the most of your time with your family, the importance of inclusive leadership and inspiring stories from our sporting heroes, there is something for everyone. Now is the time to play your part and Dive In. Registration for 2024 Dive In Festival is opening on August 15.

The government is set to introduce mandatory ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting for organisations with more than 250 employees. This measure, planned under the draft Equality (Race and Disability) Bill announced in the 2024 King’s Speech, aims to enshrine in law the right to equal pay for ethnic minorities and disabled people.  Sheeraz Gulsher and Darain Faraz, co-founders of the non-profit organisation People Like Us, have highlighted the significance of this legislation: "This government has responded to us and many other organisations calling for this legislation. We have long recognised the systemic biases and disparities faced by people who look like us in the workplace. This law could be a significant step towards holding businesses accountable for how they treat their workers."  Access the article to learn more: https://lnkd.in/e5B2mPzC government is set to introduce mandatory ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting for organisations with more than 250 employees. A note from our Global Festival Partner: Swiss Re   At Swiss Re we understand that creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment contributes to greater innovation, better decision-making, and stronger performance. This is why we have made DEI a business priority and we are building an organisation that leads with inclusion. Our inclusion-first approach is guided by the important distinction between diversity and inclusion. Having a diverse team doesn’t mean you have an inclusive team nor does valuing diversity mean you get value from diversity. Every individual is unique, and a truly inclusive environment is one that unlocks the value from diverse teams involving everyone and increasing advocacy and understanding across the company. This is important because when we feel included, we feel psychologically safe, respected, trusted and can do our best work, which in turn drives business value and builds a culture of performance. We are taking action to embed the mindsets, capabilities, and practices to foster an inclusive culture. We remain focused on ensuring that these measures are reflected in our employees‘ lived experiences. We are proud to be a Global Festival Partner of #DiveIn2024. Swiss Re is a diverse organisation, with a workforce of over 14000 employees of 122 nationalities. We believe that inclusion is the key to leveraging this diversity and channelling the power and impact of different perspectives. We therefore look to create an environment where all employees can bring their whole selves to work, feel a sense of belonging and work together for impact. About Swiss Re Swiss Re Group is one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient. It anticipates and manages risk – from natural catastrophes to climate change, from ageing populations to cyber-crime. The aim of Swiss Re is to enable society to thrive and progress, creating new opportunities and solutions for its clients.
