📢 BBC Scotland’s #Disclosure has commissioned students to produce two new documentaries as part of an on-going partnership with the University of Stirling. One of the short films is on illiteracy and the other is on assisted dying. The films were created following a series of masterclasses led by senior BBC journalists and students were invited to pitch ideas for a documentary. The two-part series features exclusive interviews with both former First Ministers who tell the inside stories of key moments during a period of unprecedented success for the Scottish National Party. Salmond and Sturgeon: A Troubled Union will air on the BBC Scotland channel and on BBC iPlayer in the run-up to the 10th anniversary of the Scottish independence referendum. 📢 BBC presenter Kirsty Wark is to start presenting editions of Radio 4’s Front Row from Scotland this summer as part of the BBC’s plans to produce more programmes across the UK. Kirsty will present one edition of Front Row from Glasgow weekly, with her first episode being in front of a live audience at the Edinburgh Festival on 13 August. The programme will continue to provide a mix of the biggest stories from the world of art, literature, film, media and music.
