Role Overview


THG Ingenuity has achieved material sales growth in the last 4 years and has reached a pivotal place in its growth journey, looking outwards to new markets (US) with the ambition to capitalise on its full suite of solutions with distinct, but complementary go-to-market plans for each.

With this clear vision in mind, the newly appointed B2B Head of Marketing will work closely with the Chief Brand & Marketing Officer to refine THG Ingenuity’s brand and its constituent parts, with accountability for delivering a clear marketing strategy that supports the business’ revenue generation via relevant marketing generated leads.


This is an exciting time to join the business as this role will be immersed in delivering new strategies & plans, with the ability to make their mark and accelerate growth across propositions where brand awareness in market remains in its infancy.


Role Requirements


The B2B Head of Marketing will develop and own clear B2B marketing strategies across our key verticals in ecommerce tech, fulfilment and creative content. This person will be adept in managing a portfolio of solutions, leveraging each in market for what makes them distinct whilst ensuring the top-level plan remains coordinated and complementary. This will include:


  • Defining and evolving our understanding of our ideal customer profiles for each solution, how this varies per market and determines our messaging and brand position supported by clear market research and marketing collateral.
  • The delivery and oversight of clear campaign plans, leveraging the full brand funnel to deliver optimal levels of brand awareness, consideration and conversion levels across our prospects.
  • Ownership of the THG Ingenuity website strategy, it’s performance and its role in lead conversion.
  • Maximising the relevant Marketing channels and content strategy, working with subject matter experts to deliver unique and insightful thought leadership in market.
  • Appraising and optimising channel performance to ensure we achieve maximum results.
  • Budget management, ensuring costs are best allocated to achieve our KPIs.
  • Collaborating with the Sales & Client Success team to include within the relevant Marketing activities as we enrich the sales cycle and reduce our reliance on sales outbound and bolster organic sales growth. This will include the ownership and evolution of all Marketing and Product collateral to support all teams.
  • Establishing and refining the correct Marketing processes to ensure lead capture & nurture is optimal and delivers the right level of collaboration across the business.
  • Delivering clear Marketing reporting to determine the effectiveness of the function over time and how we continue to optimise to accelerate the team’s contribution over time.


Optimal Skills & Experience:

  • Strong B2B marketing background, ideally within ecommerce or technology, with the ability to demonstrate Marketing team contribution across the relevant KPIs.
  • Experience is preferable delivering Marketing efforts in multiple markets, understanding the nuances of each, with North America experience ideal.
  • Experience is preferable managing multiple solutions in role with the ability to deliver clear brand propositions and product marketing.
  • Clear blend of strategic, commercial and operational skills. This is a leader who can establish the strategy but is motivated towards delivering it in an action orientated and fast paced way, who embraces the detail and remains focused on delivering to KPIs.
  • Solid people management skills with the ability to motivate direct teams towards a clear vision and translate this into meaningful objectives for each person. Collaboration across the wider business is key, leveraging the knowledge of subject matter experts and supporting Sales team to deliver their goals.

  • THG Ingenuity’s end to end ecommerce offering inclusive of platform tech, management platform services (ecommerce, merchandising, customer services, data), fulfilment and marketing. Think of this as ecommerce ‘business in a box’, for those prospects who want to outsource the full ecommerce stack.
  • Fulfil by THG – this is THG Ingenuity’s stand-alone fulfilment and courier management service.
  • THG Studios – this is THG Ingenuity’s stand-alone creative content agency with complementary services in creator content & retail media across THG’s network of brands.
  • Cloud – THG Ingenuity’s hosting business
  • Fluently – THG Ingenuity’s translations business
