Sangiovanni, GP and co-founder of Exergon, explains to L'AGEFI what is at stake with the #Nuclear Spring 🇪🇺 📣 Main take aways ✅ 1/ France, the world's second largest producer of nuclear electricity, is reviving its nuclear ambitions with 6 new projects in the pipeline, a figure that could more than double. ✅ 2/ This revival is accompanied by a flurry of technological activity, particularly around the mastery of nuclear fusion and the fourth generation of fission reactors. These reactors aim to improve intrinsic safety and manage nuclear waste efficiently.  ✅ 3/ The fourth generation of fission reactors must meet two major challenges: improved safety waste management. AUDACIA, pioneer in deeptech venture capital fund, has launched Exergon, a European decarbonized energy fund. Beyond impact, Exergon invests in the key energy technologies to reach carbon neutrality by 2050. I’m very proud to announce that AP4 has once again been recognized as the Sovereign Wealth Fund of the Year at the Sustainable Investment Awards! I truly believe that our model, which fully integrates sustainable investments across all parts of the organization—most notably the investment teams—is the only way to truly leverage sustainable investing. Our global equities portfolio significantly reduces its carbon footprint by much more than half, and we use forward-looking carbon metrics to align the portfolio with 2-degree targets. Despite having made significant progress in integrating sustainability into our investment process, our work continues. In systematic equities, we aim to integrate scope 3, green opportunities, and physical risks moving forward. Today, Amundi's publishes its 1st half and 2nd quarter 2024 financial #results, showing a strong net income growth of 9.4% and high net inflows of €15bn.   The breath of our offerings has been a significant asset in meeting the diverse needs of our clients. We had a positive momentum in both active management ( €8.0bn), particularly in fixed #income & structured products, and passive management ( €6.0bn). Commercial activity was particularly strong and accelerating in the 9 countries in which we operate in #Asia with €22bn of inflows in H1.   The higher profitability has been achieved through both: ➡️ Revenue growth ( 7.7% in Q2) ➡️ and expenses that are under controlled: our cost-income ratio further improved to to 51.9%, still the best in the sector.   Finally, on July 9, we announced the signing of the definitive agreement concerning our strategic partnership with Victory Capital, an initiative that will create value for our customer and shareholders.   These results reflect the continued commitment of our teams to serve our clients.
