Its broadly know that creativity is fostered through a number of stimuli – for a great number of people it just doesn’t jump out of the page. A change of scenery helps, playing, alternative activities too, talking to someone from an entirely different background or for some, the deadlines of an impending project.
And that’s exactly what exactly what we’re trying to achieve with the space. From its inception we've always wanted Modern Jago to be a space where creators can co-operate, innovate and leave inspired - either through something they have learned or someone they have talked to.
And so it’s open to anyone who is open to use it in that way; agencies, brands, individuals and teams.
Our main aim? It's to foster creativity in the most creative area of the most creative city in the world. And if that gets associated to a technology from Microsoft then all the better.
The most amazing thing about this project is seeing people’s eyes just light up when they walk through the door. It’s really something that has to be seen to get the full impact – you just get it when you see it.

This video was part of an Internet Explorer awareness and social media campaign. Targeting the misconception that IE was a legacy technology and playing to that through a skilfully created assets using parody. See for yourself - we were very smug about it

Microsoft technical students with high regard and wanted an alternative an alternative engagement mechanism to an existing programmatic email newsletter which was seeing a reduction in sign-ups, high churn and low engagements.
Up until this time the use of social media as a channel had mixed results, normally due to the high initial investment and short term desire for impact results.
On this occasion having a relatively low annual budget resulted in a different approach and allowed the team to consider low up-front investment and focus on ROMI for the investment.
Facebook was chosen for its (at the time this wasn't so obvious) student audience engagement, low upfront investment, tracking, ease of updates and maintenance.
    Results:
    First 9 months - 15k likes
    Following 12 months - 25k likes
After the initial 20 months (at key moments) media investment the pages became organic with only small investment required as and when.
    Learnings:
The main and most interesting learning was that a "hit factory" approach to the media creative works very well - this means that over 30 ads which use was optimised to their performance was preferred to only a few. This resulted in certain creatives achieving very high CTRs.
