This project provided a number of technical challenges that we had to overcome to achieve what we were after.

    • Digital lead for the award winning ‘We are David Bailey’ campaign, a multi-channel campaign with Facebook at its heart, to launch and drive awareness of Samsung’s NX cameras in a market dominated by established brands.
    • Briefing a selection of agencies and selecting the winning response.
    • Working alongside the agency and internal ATL, PR and product teams on the strategy, execution and implementation of the various stages of the campaign including: Recruiting 143 people called ‘David Bailey’; Providing assignments and tips for the ‘Baileys’, Created an online gallery on the hub; Product information; Video masterclasses; Social, blogger and PeerIndex outreach; Rich and standard digital display utilising the best photographs.
    • Cameras sold out in just 11 weeks, increasing market share from 2.8% to 55%. The campaign received over 11m impressions on the Facebook hub and went on to win numerous awards, including one Gold Lion for Best Launch and two Bronze Lions at Cannes International Advertising Festival.
