Proof that UK manufacturing is doing just fine. The CIPS UK Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index for August showed a rise to 52.5 from 52.1, marking the highest level observed since June 2022. For those that are not aware, anything above 50 means growth. Our manufacturing clients are all very busy. Long may it continue. PS - the picture is some kind of water powered contraption we stumbled upon during a walk in Wales a few months ago. #ukmfg #growth #cips #procurement

What an inspiring story the Heatrod Elements Ltd journey has been over the past 10 years... It was great to visit Heatrod last week with one of The Manufacturers' Alliance peer groups, and see how they have approached their strategic acquisitions to expand the Heatrod Industrial group to quadruple the size of the business over less than 10 years. To deliver this kind of growth and change continues to be a team effort at Heatrod. We got the opportunity to see... 💡 how they have acquired and grown the UK market within the group. 💡 the strategy deployment tools the business are utilising to manage improvements and change. 💡 how they have managed the integration of new acquisitions and managing culture. 💡 the complexity of manufacturing elements in the UK, and the effort and technical capability required to produce quality elements consistently. 💡 the positive impact recruiting apprentices has had on the business. Heatrod have recently celebrated their 60th anniversary, and are very much a local employer that wants to look after the people they employ. They have a good balance between young energetic people coming up through the ranks, and more mature leaders with the depth a breadth of experience.
