As part of our commitment to supporting the Neilcott team, we are helping staff develop their own skills and knowledge around the importance of mental health, and have encouraged our team to undertake the valuable Mental Health Awareness Course, provided by the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. Thank you to all that have taken part and to those that have signed up for the Lighthouse Charity's Suicide Awareness Training Course, taking place over the next few weeks. We are big advocators of making wellbeing support more visible within the construction industry, and are eager to reinforce our workforce with the skills that they need to help themselves, and their colleagues. Training covers signs to look out for to know when others are struggling, coping techniques, ways to support yourself and others and steps to move forward. We encourage everyone within the construction industry to educate themselves around the importance of mental wellbeing, remain alert and recognise when others are struggling. In a world where workers in construction have a suicide rate of 3.7x higher than the national average, it is more important than ever.
