Training/Learning Needs Analysis - why's that? As I prepare for my next face to face training session on Gibraltar HR & Payroll Basics at Grasp Ltd I'm thoughtful of training/learning needs analysis. In larger companies where there is an L&D or Generalist HR this will no doubt be a frequent activity. For smaller businesses I worry that it is being overlooked and at a huge cost. An understanding of training/learning needs at an individual, team and organisational level will ensure that performance, capabilities and skills gaps are identified. The analysis then looks at the costs and benefits of implementing different training options. One area often overlooked is exploring funding/resources and government initiatives to support such training. Why's that - well to ensure training is defined and prioritised.
