Delighted to share the Seraphim Space Accelerator's latest cohort in TechCrunch 🚀 This is the 13th edition of our space accelerator programme, and we are thrilled to welcome nine fantastic companies onto this mission. The new cohort focuses on propulsion, cybersecurity, space situational awareness, geospatial insights and in-orbit biotechnology manufacturing. Areas that allow us to map, model and collect data-driven insights from Space to help support a better future on Earth. Last week, I came across the Jevons Paradox while discussing what the future of quantum computing might look like. The Jevons Paradox occurs when improvements in efficiency lead to an increase in overall resource consumption, rather than a reduction. As efficiency increases, resources become cheaper or easier to use, which drives up demand. Examples include fuel efficiency, energy-efficient appliances, lighting, and computing power. In the AI era, this paradox applies to data, computing power, automation, and soon, AI agents. As AI becomes more efficient and cost-effective, we may end up consuming even more resources to meet the growing demand for AI-driven services. It makes you think.

Dan thank you for sharing this. As the UK general election approaches, the rise of deepfakes and disinformation is significantly impacting voter perceptions. Blackbird.AI’s analysis reveals that AI-generated content, including deepfake audio and visual clips, is being widely circulated to undermine political candidates and sway public opinion. Additionally, bot-like amplification on social media is spreading misleading narratives and false information. These tactics are not only creating confusion but also eroding trust in the democratic process. To combat these challenges, platforms like Blackbird.AI are essential in identifying and mitigating the spread of disinformation. The US will definitely see these same tactics in the near future!

For anyone building AI agents or reasoning systems, you need to check out the latest release from Logikon AI Logikon AI has partnered with Hugging Face and Allen Institute for AI (AI2) to create the first Open Chain-of-Thought (CoT) leaderboard. CoT is crucial for complex problem-solving and decision making tasks in AI. However, until now, there hasn't been a standardised way to evaluate and improve reasoning models. This leaderboard changes that, providing transparency and fostering competition that drives forward innovation in AI reasoning.
