Exciting news for Beverley, East Yorkshire! 🎉🏡 Known for its racecourse, historic buildings and the stunning minster, Beverley is a gem of a market town. The only thing missing? Affordable homes. But fear not, because that's about to change. We've partnered up with Strata Homes to build 136 new homes, just 1km south of Beverley. The development will mean some much-needed housing options for the community and help address the shortage of affordable homes in the area. 🏠✨ #Beverley #AffordableHomes

A cracking event packed with top-notch speakers! If you missed it, you can hear our customer and Climate Jury juror, Terry, chat with Nick, our CEO, on season one's bonus episode of #RaisingTheRoof. It's all about how we get customers on board with retrofitting and take them with us on the journey to net-zero. 🎧 Listen here: https://ow.ly/Hg2H50SzGNt

Our Tracy Harrison reflects on a fantastic day in Parliament yesterday celebrating our 50th anniversary with members, residents, civil servants, Parliamentarians, and sector leaders! It was great to hear the ambition around the room to harness the opportunity we have to transform homes and communities across the North and it's clear our members stand ready to deliver. We had brilliant speeches from our host Lord Best; MP for Blaydon and Consett, Liz Twist; Yorkshire Housing resident and Social Housing Tenants' Climate Jury juror, Terry Tasker; NHC Board member, Jane Everton; and Onward Homes CEO & NHC Board member Bronwen Rapley. A huge thank you to the speakers, our host Lord Best and all who attended. Here's to the next 50 years!

Did you know that every month our colleagues join a Teams call for a collaborative #BeCurious session? We discuss all sorts of topics and this time we partnered with Incommunities, another housing association, for a Pride session to get comfortable with the uncomfortable. One of the themes we covered was how to be an active ally at work, led by Lauren, our very own Chair of Reyt’ Proud - our LGBTQIA network. The session was too good to keep to ourselves, so Lauren's squeezed her top tips into 20 seconds for you! Listen in and have a think about how you could be an active ally at work.
