As reported by Jake Kanter at Deadline Hollywood, YMU Group has signed Grace Beverley for global 360 management. https://lnkd.in/eeZiqUba Grace is a serial entrepreneur, changemaker and digital broadcaster. At the age of 27, she has founded 3 highly successful companies – activewear brand TALA, fitness tech brand Shreddy, and personal organisation brand The Productivity Method – and has a global following of over 3 million people on social media. Grace was named first in Forbes 30 under 30’s retail and e-commerce list at age 23. Her first book, Working Hard, Hardly Working, was an instant Sunday Times No. 1 Bestseller – and Grace’s podcast of the same name has a reach of over 25 million people. Grace has been featured by BBC Radio 4’s Woman's Hour, Bloomberg News, Business Insider and Vogue Business. As reported in Deadline Hollywood YMU has completed its financial restructuring, with Permira Credit as our new majority shareholders. I’m delighted to finally be able to post about the deal – which was the result of so much hard work and commitment from the teams involved.   Our capital structure and balance sheet is transformed, with much less debt – and we now have an access to investment capital. This is a deal that unlocks so much new potential for YMU, our colleagues, clients and customers:   * We’re investing in our business - we have been working behind the scenes for the last 6 months on some additions to the Group which will further propel us in our core business areas - details coming soon
 * We’re on the hunt for acquisitions   * We’re reshaping aspects of the business for the future – more to come on that tomorrow!   At the start of 2022 we had just launched a Social division – now Lucy Loveridge ‘s team is the undisputed market leader in the space with signings including Mrs Hinch, Dr Julie, Jamie Laing, ShxtsnGigs and just recently Patricia Bright (with more to be announced in the coming days).   DSM, which we acquired in September 2022, is another digitally-powered area of growth, led by the excellent Tom Henderson and Robert Wadsworth   In just the first two months of 2024, clients including Claudia Winkleman, ShxtsnGigs, Evan Ferguson, Graham Norton, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Stacey Solomon – and too many more to list – have been doing their best work. Winning awards. Fronting hit shows. Breaking records. And all supported by the best-in-class teams at YMU.   It’s a privilege for me to lead this most remarkable company, with its incomparable roster of clients – and the best is yet to come.   https://lnkd.in/endSFjbx

"The bird of humanity has been flying with one wing." This was a fascinating clip taken from our recent IWD panel last week. Mary Portas detailed how the feminine wing of the bird of humanity has been suppressed and highlighted how one wing has become overly muscular, according to an ancient Amazonian tribe prophecy. In the 21st century, it has been said that the feminine wing will become stronger, and we are starting to see the developments as we’re talking more about: -Diversity -Gender -Inclusivity This inspired me and was beautifully said. Does this story resonate?

Megan Turner, from YMU’s Manchester office, isn’t just celebrating International Women’s Day – she’s celebrating success in her ACCA exams.    Soon, Megan will be a fully-qualified chartered accountant. During 8 years with YMU, she’s worked her way up from apprentice to Senior Accountant in our Business Management division – and says that her inspiration is our Group CEO, Mary Bekhait.   We celebrate being a female-led company – with Mary as CEO, Linda Yaccarino as Chair and numerous women as divisional MDs and talent directors.   Female leaders can only emerge when there are opportunities for women at every level. So at YMU, we offer the crucial first rung on the ladder to women across the business. We have 19 women among our YMU Business Management apprentices, and we’ve just welcomed Summer Bourne and Lily Clark as 12-month paid interns in our Entertainment division.    Our gender pay gap has more than halved in just 3 years, making that gap now well below the national average, and our workforce is 58% female. At YMU, we’re proud to walk the walk 365 days a year – not just on International Women’s Day.
